NBA DFS Picks: Prime Time Players
Devonte’ Graham: Charlotte Hornets at Washington Wizards
DraftKings $7,700, FanDuel $6,600, Yahoo $27 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 15.9%, FanDuel 42.2% Yahoo Fantasy 34.6%
Hopefully the trip to Paris for the NBA Showcase game allowed for some recovery time for rookie Devonte’ Graham. We know that first- and second-year players often get a little lead-legged in the middle of the season, but this will be just the second game in six days for the Hornets and the third in 10. In their last two games the Wizards have played, the combined points total has topped 285 in regulation.
Over their last 15 games, they are allowing 117.4 points per 100 possessions and playing at the sixth-fastest pace with 102.3 possessions per 48 minutes. This should be a nice boost for Charlotte who is playing at the slowest pace (94.4) over their last 15 games.
In his last 37 games since moving into the starting lineup, Graham is averaging 36.2 minutes per game with 18.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.1 combined blocks/steals. Currently he is seventh overall in assists per game.
NBA DFS Picks: Good Value
Thomas Bryant: Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets
DraftKings $5,200, FanDuel $4,400, Yahoo $17 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 56.8%, FanDuel 53.8% Yahoo Fantasy 39.0%
Thomas Bryant has been a bright spot since the Lakers did not have room on their roster to keep him and he has shown flashes of offensive brilliance both last season as well as prior to the foot injury that cost him 20 games this season. In his last outing, Bryant played nearly 32 minutes, which was 10 minutes more than any of the other seven games since his return.
Much like the Wizards, the Hornets are also in the bottom five for rebounding so there is ample opportunity here for Bryant to thrive.
Bismack Biyombo is slipping out of the rotation and has been ceding minutes to Guillermo Hernangomez. That does not help the front-court defense which was already shaky at best with Cody Zeller and P.J. Washington playing prominent roles. Even at 25-26 minutes, Bryant is an intriguing play and if he gets to 30 again, he could flirt with 40 fantasy point.
NBA DFS Picks: Risky Value
Shake Milton: Philadelphia 76ers at Atlanta Hawks
DraftKings $5,200, FanDuel $4,400, Yahoo $17 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 7.0%, FanDuel <5.0% Yahoo Fantasy < 5.0%
This is interesting as I figured that second-year Shake Milton would be more popular than initially projected by Awesemo. Josh Richardson is out for a month with a hamstring injury and Milton has drawn the start in the last two games as his replacement. This is a nice matchup against the Hawks, who are not worried about playing defense.
Milton is a decent scorer having spent most of last year in the G-League and appearing in six games there this season with 24.2 points per game over 43 outings.
The risk is minutes as Furkan Korkmaz, Mattisse Thybulle, Raul Neto, Mike Scott, etc. are all available if coach Brett Brown feels like mixing and matching.
Edit: As I was posting this, word came out that Al Horford will be resting this game. That should increase the popularity of Milton, but there still is risk in assuming more than 24 minutes.
NBA DFS Picks: SuperDraft
Devonte’ Graham: Charlotte Hornets at Washington Wizards – 1.4x multiplier
Kevin Love: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors – 1.85x multiplier
Tobias Harris: Philadelphia 76ers at Atlanta Hawks – 1.5x multiplier
Our standout SuperDraft recommendation for today is Graham, who is also our featured player in the main section above. Kevin Love is in play as well. Minutes are generally a concern with him, but with Cleveland’s next two games coming on Saturday and Monday, he should be in line for 32 to 34. Tobias Harris quickly jumped up the list with the news that Horford will be sitting out tonight for rest.

Final Thoughts
Tonight should be interesting as most of the top-shelf options have a knock against them for matchup or returning teammates.
