NBA DFS Picks: Prime Time Players
Lonzo Ball: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
DraftKings $7,000, FanDuel $6,600, Yahoo $29; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 32.4%, FanDuel 69.8% Yahoo 34.0%
This will be the fourth and final time that these two teams square off in the regular season. While the Thunder have won all three games so far, they have been close at 107-104, 109-104 and 115-104. Of course, this game should have Zion Williamson to make it unique. This is a solid matchup for Lonzo Ball as he can provided fantasy production in a variety of ways. Plus, with the defense likely focused on Jrue Holiday and Williamson, he should be able to find some scoring opportunities himself. With just four teams in action, I am not too worried about the status of Brandon Ingram. My guess is that he will get one more game off, using the All-Star Break as an extended break to heal up.
NBA DFS Picks: Good Value
Daniel Theis: Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers
DraftKings $4,600, FanDuel $5,200, Yahoo $19; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 36.2%, FanDuel 46.8% Yahoo 37.0%
In a fun twist, this is a decent matchup for Daniel Theis (6-foot-8, 245 pounds), as he does not have to worry about a size or speed advantage going to Ivica Zuba (7-feet, 240) and Montrezl Harrell (6-foot-7, 240). Theis should flirt with a double-double in this matchup and he provides a solid floor with at least 20 fantasy points in 22 of his last 31 starts.

NBA DFS Picks: SuperDraft
Zion Williamson: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – 2.65x multiplier
Lonzo Ball: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – 2.35x multiplier
Jaylen Brown: Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers – 2.65x multiplier
Our standout SuperDraft recommendations for today is Zion Williamson at a 2.65 multiplier. For this short two-game slate, SuperDraft have relaxed the cap and made things very interesting with the multipliers. The only slight concern is that Williamson is participating in the Rising Stars Challenge tomorrow night, but that should not impact things too much. Lonzo Ball is in a nice situation as detailed above. Finally, we have Jaylen Brown who, like the rest of his teammates, is back to full health, but he is also getting a phenomenal multiplier considering his role.
If you haven’t signed up for SuperDraft DFS, click this link and use the promo code Awesemo when making your first deposit of at least $100 and you will be eligible for $20 of free play. That will be provided in SuperDraft Cash which can be used to enter any paid contest immediately.
NBA DFS Picks: Risky Value
Danilo Gallinari: Oklahoma City Thunder at New Orleans Pelicans
DraftKings $5,500, FanDuel $6,100, Yahoo $24; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 79.8%, FanDuel 50.2% Yahoo 70.0%
This is a two-game slate and risky does not mean that someone is a bad play. If Brandon Ingram is out, then we should see Danilo Gallinari easily as the most popular forward option on every DFS site. The price is favorable everywhere. This is a plus matchup with New Orleans playing at the second-fastest pace in the league over their last 15 games with a mediocre defensive efficiency.
The risk here is at his current level of popularity, what score would it take for Gallinari to destroy you if he was not on your roster?
Range | No. of Games | Average | Percentage |
40-45 DKPTs | 5 | 42.1 | 11% |
35-40 DKPTs | 7 | 37.8 | 15% |
30-35 DKPTs | 11 | 31.9 | 24% |
25-30 DKPTs | 11 | 28.4 | 24% |
20-25 DKPTs | 10 | 22.4 | 22% |
Below 20 | 2 | 16.6 | 4% |
Total | 46 | 30.4 | 100% |
As we can see in the above chart, Gallinari has one heck of a floor but the raw point upside is certainly lacking this season. If you are looking for a spot to plant your flag tonight, this would definitely be the place.
