There is a two-game slate today so the offerings for Yahoo Daily Fantasy Basketball are all single-game focused. From a line perspective, the 76ers come in as the biggest favorites at -4.5, and both games are projected to be close affairs. Most of the injury issues in this game are limited to role or bench players, and the only game-time decision to monitor is Will Barton, whose absence would give a bump to other guards on Denver.

Superstar (76ers vs. Nets) — Joel Embiid $54

The 76ers have the largest implied team total on the slate today so paying up for one of their studs seems very appropriate in single-game slates. While James Harden certainly will seep into Joel Embiid’s usage in the long-term, Embiid also proved in his last outing that big fantasy nights will likely still be very common down the stretch this year. Embiid produced his 10th 40-plus point game of the season against the Bulls in his last game and gets a very solid matchup today against the Nets, who are still without LaMarcus Aldridge in the middle. Andre Drummond has typically struggled against Embiid for most of their careers and Embiid projects out as the top target from this game by an over 6.0 point margin in the Awesemo Projections today. He is the preferred pay-up target today for the Superstar position.

Flex (76ers vs. Nets) — Bruce Brown $19

The Nets have obviously got some help back in the form of Kevin Durant, who is chewing up big minutes early in his return. That has not necessarily hurt all the Nets players’ fantasy production though, and Bruce Brown is a player who has seemingly benefited from Durant’s return. Brown has produced well over 35.0 Yahoo points in each of his last three games and averaged just under 1.5 Yahoo points per minute in his last outing. Whether this bump lasts or not is a larger question. Browns averaged around 6.5 rebounds over his last five outings too, and Philadelphia still ranks just league average or below in that category.

Flex (76ers vs. Nets) — Tobias Harris $20

The 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey has a tough matchup today with Kyrie Irving in play, so pivoting to another 76ers core player in Tobias Harris seems like a smart move for fantasy basketball lineups. Harris has been lackluster of late but this is still a player who can spike for a double-double on any slate. Harris, at the very least, should recover from a three-rebound performance in his last game against a Nets team today who ranks 7th worst in offensive rebounds allowed. Harris rates out stronger from a point projection standpoint than Maxey today and makes for a solid contrarian pivot, as it seems likely the field will not be super pumped to roll him out again.

Superstar (Warriors vs. Nuggets) — Aaron Gordon $20

The Warriors vs. Nuggets game offers a huge superstar in Nikola Jokic to target but also the temptation to gain some leverage on the field by going with a different player in that Superstar position. If any Nuggets player is going to come close to matching Jokic it will likely be Aaron Gordon, who did produce 46.6 Yahoo points just three starts ago in a 42+ minute effort against the Pelicans. If Barton misses, Gordon’s usage in this game should rise a decent chunk too, and he will likely see more minutes today given his defensive strength and the matchup with the Warriors. Gordon has the second-best point projection of any Nuggets player today and likely will not be heavily rostered in this spot at all.

Flex (Warriors vs. Nuggets) — Nikola Jokic $56

Nikola Jokic has rebounded nicely from a three-game slump to average around 79.0 Yahoo points over his last three games. He also put up 69.2 against Gold State just two starts ago. He is the top player on this slate.

Flex (Warriors vs. Nuggets) — Kevon Looney $17

There are a couple of recent matchups between the Warriors and Nuggets, and one player who did seem to thrive for the Warriors in those recent games was Kevon Looney. Looney played over 27 minutes in each of those recent two games against the Nuggets and averaged well over a fantasy point per minute in each of those matchups as well. With Jokic on the docket, the Warriors will likely give him solid minutes again and Looney does rate out as a top-10 projected target from this game in the Awesemo Point Projections. He is a good way to keep costs down and likely correlates well with any Jokic monster game, as more minutes for him likely spells bigger usage for Looney too.

Flex (Warriors vs. Nuggets) — Moses Moody $10

The Warriors are still banged up with several role players like Draymond Green and Gary Payton II out, so Moses Moody’s role is likely to remain quite secure. He actually started the last game for the Warriors as well, despite Klay Thompson coming back to the lineup, which is a pretty solid indicator of where he stands in the rotation. Moody is not going to get a ton of usage with all of the Warriors shooters back but his minutes do seem secure, and he is only the bare minimum at $10. Looking to him for value relief today is not a poor idea at all.
