NBA DFS Picks Leverage & Optimizer Plays | Feb. 24
High-End Tier
LaMelo Ball ($11,000) has the highest projection on a slate that does not have any huge projections. Ball has a solid matchup with a Timberwolves team ranked fifth in pace of play. He is projected for 9% ownership, a 16% chance of booming and a 9% chance of being optimal according to Stokastic’s Boom/Bust Tool.
Jrue Holiday ($8,900) has the top leverage score among high-end players. Holiday’s tough matchup with the Heat is offset by the likely absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, as Holiday sees a 6% increase in his usage with Antetokounmpo off the floor. Holiday is projected for just 7% ownership, a 13% chance of booming and 10% chance of being optimal.

Mid-Tier
Rudy Gobert ($7,200) is a solid point-per-dollar option against the Hornets, who rank fourth in the league in pace of play and 24th in defensive rating. Gobert is projected for 36% ownership, a 40% chance of booming and 26% chance of being optimal.
Alperen Sengun ($7,500) continues to benefit from the absence of Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green. He is projected for 32% ownership, a 38% chance of booming and 27% chance of being optimal.
Kyle Anderson ($5,100) is too cheap for his involvement in the Timberwolves offense and could benefit from the departure of ball-dominant D’Angelo Russell. Anderson is projected for 26% ownership, a 24% chance of booming and 20% chance of being optimal.
Value Tier
Josh Christopher ($3,300) is the top point-per-dollar play on the slate with Porter and Green out. He is projected for 46% ownership, a 37% chance of booming and 38% chance of being optimal.
Kevin Love ($3,000) will make his Heat debut tonight against the Bucks. It is hard to know exactly what his role will be, but even with a projection of under 20 minutes he is currently the second-best point-per-dollar play on the slate. Love is projected for 18% ownership, a 23% chance of booming and 21% chance of being optimal.
Tari Eason ($3,900) projects well even in limited minutes in a nice matchup with the high-paced Warriors. Eason is projected for 24% ownership, a 21% chance of booming and 21% chance of being optimal.
These are just some of the top plays of the slate in terms of projection, value and leverage. However, things can change in a hurry on an NBA slate, remember to track the news throughout the day and take advantage of potential late-swap opportunities.
