The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

Boom/Bust NBA Daily Fantasy Projections & Picks

Boom: Christian Wood: $7,400 DraftKings/$7,200 FanDuel

40.1% DraftKings Boom/35.9% FanDuel Boom

Wednesday night, Wood posted a double-double worth 45.25 DraftKings points against the Spurs, marking his third effort of over 40 DraftKings points in his last five starts. With a 23.8% usage rate this season, Wood is contributing 1.2 DraftKings points per minute and on the menu for Friday is a superb matchup against the Kings. Sacramento ranks 25th in defensive efficiency and sixth in pace. Furthermore, no team in the NBA gives up more points in the paint than the Kings and they are also allowing the seventh most rebounds.

The Rockets are even worse on the defensive end, ranking dead last in efficiency and this clash of poor defenses presents the highest total on the slate by a huge margin (239 points). Houston’s implied team total is the third largest on the board (117 points) and in the 10 tilts Wood has played behind an implied team total of at least 110 points this season, the center has produced 47.4 DraftKings points per game. At very reasonable price points on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Wood has a top-five boom score on the slate in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool.

Boom: De’Aaron Fox: $7,600 DraftKings/$7,800 FanDuel

29.8% DraftKings Boom/24.3% FanDuel Boom

Fox is another outstanding way to attack this projected shootout between the Kings and Rockets. Leading Sacramento in usage this season (28.2%), the guard is scoring 1.04 DraftKings points per minute. On top their league-worst defense, Houston ranks third in pace and in this incredible spot, Sacramento carries the highest implied team total on the slate (122 points).

For the five occasions Fox has played in a total of 230 points or greater this season, he has generated 40.3 DraftKings points per game. At sub $8,000 salaries on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Fox is an elite combination of safety and upside.

Boom: Jordan Poole: $5,000 DraftKings/$5,100 FanDuel

37.3% DraftKings Boom/26.5% FanDuel Boom

Tonight, the Warriors will be without Klay Thompson (rest), Draymond Green (calf) and Gary Payton II (back). With these three starters absent, Poole should reenter the first unit and Awesemo is projecting him for 32.1 minutes tonight against the Bulls. In the 230 minutes Poole has played with these three players off the floor this season, the guard’s usage and assist rates have increased 2.1 and 3.3 percentage points, respectively.

Poole supplies 1.02 DraftKings points per minute in this situation and this matchup with Chicago has the third-highest total on the slate (223 points). Plus, the Bulls are only four-point favorites. In a sample size of 18 contests, Poole is providing 32.3 DraftKings points per game when given a minimum of 30 minutes this season. While he is a great target on both sites, at only $5,000 on DraftKings, Poole is rating as the No. 1 value available for this nine-game slate in Awesemo’s projections.

Boom: Terry Rozier: $7,400 DraftKings/$7,700 FanDuel

22.3% DraftKings Boom/14.9% FanDuel Boom

Rozier has been excellent as of late, amassing 40.5 DraftKings points per game across his last eight starts. Kelly Oubre (health protocols) will be inactive tonight and with the wing sidelined for the last two contests, Rozier has seen at least 40 minutes in back-to-back games. Hosting the Magic tonight, the Hornets boast the second highest implied team total on the slate (117.25 points).

Orlando ranks 24th in defensive efficiency and in his lone meeting with this club back in November, Rozier erupted for 53.5 DraftKings points. The Louisville product has topped 40 DraftKings points in four of the seven contests Charlotte has seen an implied team total of at least 115 points this season and is a high-upside option that should not be overly popular in GPPs. Across his last five starts, Rozier has only been owned by 7% of the field in DraftKings’ main GPP of the night.
