High-Upside NBA Daily Fantasy Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel Lineups Tonight | 4/10/22

Welcome to the craziest NBA slate of the year. There are 11 games on the main slate, and it will be filled with so much value, narrowing down your player pool will be tough to do. The most important page to follow today is Awesemo’s NBA Starting Lineups page to find out who is in and out tonight. Can’t stress that enough! So many teams have nothing to play for and news will come out throughout the day. These plays below are driven by Awesemo’s NBA DFS Boom/Bust Tool as we narrow down three boom and one bust play. Obviously make sure each of these players are in the lineup.

Boom/Bust NBA Daily Fantasy Projections & Picks Today

Boom: Ayo Dosunmu: $3,900 DraftKings/$3,900 FanDuel

88.2% DraftKings Boom/86.7% FanDuel Boom

The Chicago Bulls are already locked into their playoff seed, so they are resting DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Alex Caruso, while Coby White is doubtful. Hello Ayo Dosunmu! Our Boom/Bust Tool has Dosunmu with the highest boom percentage on FanDuel and the second highest on DraftKings. Awesemo projects him to play 36.5 minutes tonight and to be the second-best value play on both sites in Awesemo’s daily projections. His salary is way too cheap for the minutes and upside that he provides.

The Bulls are playing on the road against the Timberwolves who will likely sit their fair share of players as well, as they are locked into their playoff seed and have nothing to play for. This game total is set at 229.5 points, which is the third highest on the slate. The Timberwolves play at the fastest pace in the league, allowing 113.2 points per game. Dosunmu has shown double-double upside in the past, which is definitely on the table tonight. Dosunmu will be popular as he comes in the top five on both sites in Awesemo’s ownership projections.

Boom: Nikola Jokic: $12,400 DraftKings/$12,200 FanDuel

33.8% DraftKings Boom/35.7% FanDuel Boom

The best play on the slate is Nikola Jokic if he plays. He is the first player in NBA history to record a season with 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists. After his historic accomplishment, Jokic sat out their last game and is questionable tonight. No one is as consistent or has as high of a ceiling as Jokic. He has recorded seven-straight games with 70 or more DraftKings points. Awesemo projects Jokic to play 34.1 minutes tonight and be the highest scorer by far on this slate. Make sure he is in the starting lineup before playing him.

With a Nuggets victory and a Jazz loss, the Nuggets could get to the #5 seed in the Western Conference. However, the Jazz are 17.5-point favorites, which is the largest on the slate. If Jokic plays, he is going to feast on this matchup. The Lakers have allowed 51.5 points per game in the paint, which is the third-most in the league. Jokic has averaged 27.5 points, 15 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game against the Lakers this season. He is in the top four in Awesemo’s ownership projections on both sites. Play Jokic and fill in value around him.

Boom: Jaylen Hoard: $7,000 DraftKings/$7,700 FanDuel

88.8% DraftKings Boom/80.3% FanDuel Boom

Jaylen Hoard has made a name for himself over the past week as his salary has climbed from minimum price to the high mid-range. Opposite of Dosunmu, Hoard has the highest boom percentage on DraftKings and the second highest on FanDuel in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool. Pretty crazy how high the percentages are given the price hike. Our daily projections have Hoard playing an absurd 45.7 minutes tonight! He has played 46 or more minutes in two of the last three games. He is the best value option on the slate even with his salary.

It doesn’t make sense to say Hoard’s price should come up more than what it already is, but the numbers don’t lie. He has started in four of the last five games. During those four games, Hoard is averaging 21.3 points and 15.8 rebounds per game while shooting 56.1% from the field. In three of those games, Hoard has recorded 17 or more rebounds. He has also scored 23 or more points in three-straight games. The playing time is insane, and the production is incredible. It should come to no surprise he is leading the way in Awesemo’s ownership projections for both sites. The Thunder are only implied for 103.25 points, but that hasn’t even mattered for Hoard.

Bust: Pascal Siakam: $10,000 DraftKings/$10,800 FanDuel

57.0% DraftKings Bust/73.8% FanDuel Bust

Let’s start out by saying there are several high-priced players to fade tonight given the team’s situation. Despite already locking up their playoff seed and having nothing to play for, it seems like the starters for the Toronto Raptors are still going to play. It may only be a half, or it may be a full game, no one really knows Nick Nurse’s plan right now. They may want to ride the momentum of winning 14 of their last 17 games as they go for the season sweep over the Knicks tonight. Either way Pascal Siakam is a fade given his increased salary.

Siakam has been playing very well recently. Over the last three games, Siakam is averaging 32.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 67.1 DraftKings points per game. However, Fred VanVleet is expected to play and they may potentially get OG Anunoby back from his injury as well. Siakam has played 40 or more minutes in six of his last seven games. It is hard to see that trend continuing since this game has no meaning for the Raptors. Siakam has a “D Value” on both sites in Awesemo’s Fantasy Basketball Rankings. Seems like an easy fade.
