NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates
Nikola Jokic vs. Trail Blazers: $10,700/$10,700
44.1% DraftKings Boom/38.5% FanDuel Boom
Jokic didn’t do enough to carry the Nuggets to a Game 1 victory, but he still had a solid game. Denver didn’t shoot well, which led to Jokic getting just one assist. There is little chance he will get only a single assist again. Also, it is very clear Enes Kanter doesn’t have a prayer against Jokic one-on-one. It should be another great scoring and rebounding day for Jokic, but the added assists will put him over the top — our Awesemo NBA DFS projections have him slated for 7.8 assists tonight to go with 28.15 points and 11.56 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler vs. Bucks: $8,500/$9,100
38.9% DraftKings Boom/33.8% FanDuel Boom
Butler is the ultimate competitor. After being insulted prior to Game 1 by the Bucks, they then went on to beat him in the city where he played his college ball. On top of that, his 4-for-22 shooting and six turnovers were massive reasons why the Heat lost. He is going to bounce back in a major way, and gamers will want some exposure to him when he does. Butler is on 20-point triple-double watch for this game and in our daily fantasy basketball projections, he’s the No. 4-ranked player with 46.10 projected points tonight.

Michael Porter Jr. vs. Trail Blazers: $7,000/$7,600
43.7% DraftKings Boom/28.5% FanDuel Boom
Porter put up a solid NBA fantasy performance in Game 1, but there is plenty of room for improving on that output today. While 12-for-21 shooting looks good, he connected on just one of his 10 3-point attempts. Porter was also a single rebound away from a double-double. While his salary is at a strange place where it could be tough to get to in some builds, it feels like there’s only upside involved with him and very little risk in playing him.
NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Tyler Herro vs. Bucks: $5,900/$5,100
87.2% DraftKings Bust/74.2% FanDuel Bust
With the Heat backcourt healthy, Herro doesn’t have enough room to put up a playoff performance like he did last season. On top of that, the playoff version of Dragic should be discussed heavily at this point. Dragic’s strong play keeps Herro on the bench, shown by his 19 minutes last game. The only way Herro will earn more minutes is if that players ahead of him aren’t hitting their shots. At his price, he shouldn’t be dependent on the failures of others to have value.
