Danuel House
FD: $4300 | Fpts: C | Value: A
DK: $5000 | Fpts: C | Value: B
House disappointed a lot of people last night, appearing timid early on and never really finding his grove. But he still played 35 minutes despite his offensive struggles due to Phoenix’s short bench and dearth of talent. His price took a jump today on DraftKings but he’s still greatly underpriced on both sites for a starter playing heavy minutes.
Shaq Harrison
FD: $4000 | Fpts: C | Value: A
DK: $3700 | Fpts: C | Value: A
House’s backup, Shaq Harrison, was a great pivot last night as he came off the bench to nearly double up House’s FP at a fraction of the ownership. Unlike House, Harrison’s price hasn’t seen much of a hike since his role remains the same. But expectations (and ownership) will be a lot higher tonight. Don’t expect another 13-5-4 line, but 20+ FP is well within the likely range of outcomes. At his current salaries, that’s a steal.
Jakob Poeltl
FD: $4000 | Fpts: C | Value: A
DK: $3300 | Fpts: C | Value: A
Valaciunas was ruled out mere minutes ago so this take is hot off the presses. Poeltl and fellow backup big man Lucas Nogueira will be sharing Valaciunas’ usual minutes and I expect the split to be pretty much even. Both are good plays but the nod for Slam Dunk goes to Poeltl, who has the more refined offensive skill set. He’s had significantly higher usage than Nogueria, both in games with and without Valanciunas. Nogueria has better blocks/steals upside but in a game where the Raptors will be looking for additional scoring (due to the absence of DeRozan), Poeltl is my guy.
