Top 5 FanDuel NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Marvin Bagley, Detroit Pistons

Bagley is power forward and center eligible, making him a versatile option for filling out a lineup. Projected for 33 points at a cost of $6,000, Bagley averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute. The Pistons will benefit from a massive pace-up spot against the Hornets, gaining 2.5 possessions over their average. This is expected to be a competitive game, so Bagley is likely to see significant playing time, projected for around 29 minutes. The price tag works well with Bagley’s position and role, and his projections of 16 points, 10 boards, an assist and a stock make him a good pick for any FanDuel NBA DFS lineup.

4. Moritz Wagner, Orlando Magic

Despite being listed as a power forward, Wagner is expected to play as the starting center with Wendell Carter Jr. out. He is projected for 27 FanDuel points and has a goal of 28. He is in the optimal lineup 26% of the time. Even with a conservative projection of 26 minutes, Wagner is still expected to produce at a rate of 1 fantasy point per minute. He has a usage rate of 20 and is expected to score 14 points, grab six rebounds, dish out two assists and record a steal. His power forward designation makes him a great value play, and with the potential to play up to 32 minutes, he’s a great play for any DFS lineup.

3. Cam Thomas, Brooklyn Nets

Thomas is projected for 26.5 points and has a goal of 29.5, with a 27% chance of being in the optimal lineup. Thomas is a shooting guard/small forward who is priced at $4,700, making him a good value pick. Although his role has been limited, he is expected to see more minutes due to injuries to Spencer Dinwiddie, Cameron Johnson, Royce O’Neale, Nic Claxton and Ben Simmons. Thomas averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute, meaning that even at 24 minutes of playing time, he can generate significant points. He can score well, with 17 points on 28% usage and add some rebounds, assists and possibly a stock. If he starts or plays more minutes off the bench or in closing, his value could increase even further.

2. Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets

Rozier is projected to score 41 fantasy points, with a goal of 47, making him an attractive option for fantasy players. Despite some recent underwhelming performances, Rozier’s rates without LaMelo Ball on the court are impressive, with him averaging over 1.1 fantasy point per minute. He is expected to play big minutes in a highly favorable matchup against the Detroit Pistons, who are missing several key players. Rozier’s raw rates suggest he could score 24 points, with 28% usage, six assists, five boards and 1.5 stocks. Although his price has gone up, Rozier remains a good value pick and is expected to be in the optimal lineup 28% of the time.

1. Jalen Green, Houston Rockets

Green is a point guard and shooting guard projected for 35 fantasy points, with a goal of 40 at a price of $6,800. He is in the optimal lineup 28% of the time and averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute. With no Kevin Porter Jr. in this game, Green’s role on the team looks much better. He is expected to play 32 minutes and has a favorable matchup against the Indiana Pacers, with a pace-up spot. Green has a 31% usage rate in this game, which means he is expected to score 24 real points, grab four boards, dish out 3.5 assists and get a stock. His position looks fantastic, and he is a top pick for the day.
