NBA DFS Leverage Picks & Optimizer Plays | March 18
Our top projected leverage play on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Indiana center Myles Turner, couldn’t look any better in tournaments in his matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
While lining up against Joel Embiid and a stout 76ers defense won’t be easy, Turner is getting absolutely forgotten about tonight. Priced at $7,800 on DraftKings, he offers massive upside at that site, especially with Tyrese Haliburton remaining sidelined for the Pacers. Turner is an excellent way to get contrarian as he is projected to be in only 1.6% of lineups.
Turner is even cheaper on FanDuel at $7,700, yet he still isn’t getting enough love there, with only 8.9% of lineups expected to roster him. While he struggled in this same spot earlier this month, there is little reason why Turner should be so low-owned tonight. He is currently projected to be optimal 12.3% of the time on DraftKings and 18.4% of the time on FanDuel.

Golden State wing Donte DiVincenzo is also getting overlooked. Priced at only $5,900 on DraftKings and $5,700 on FanDuel, the former Villanova star isn’t at the ownership rate he deserves on either site. While his ceiling doesn’t match Turner’s, DiVincenzo is right there with the Indiana center as far as leverage goes across both sites.
In a good spot against a Memphis team that struggles against opposing wings, DiVincenzo is projected to be optimal 9.9% of the time on DraftKings and 22.5% of the time on FanDuel. Despite his high optimality percentages, NBA DFS players aren’t getting to DiVincenzo enough, as he is projected for only 3.8% ownership on DraftKings and 17% ownership on FanDuel. While DiVincenzo is more of a solid player than a spectacular one, he offers surprisingly good leverage on both sites, and there’s a lot to like about him in tournaments this evening.
On the other side of the coin, Taurean Prince rates poorly from a leverage perspective on both DraftKings and FanDuel in Stokastic’s Boom/Bust Tool and might be worth fading, especially in GPPs. At only $3,900 on DraftKings, Prince is projected to find himself in 33.5% of lineups with an optimality percentage of 16.9%.
With Minnesota star Anthony Edwards unlikely to play after injuring his ankle last night, Prince’s affordable price tag will undoubtedly make him a popular value tonight. But because other value plays are going under-owned, it might be wise to avoid him in large-field tournaments.
Situations to Monitor
As of this writing, there are only a few situations to monitor. Along with Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid are questionable for Minnesota. Jordan Clarkson is questionable for Utah. Malcolm Brogdon is also questionable for Boston after missing last night’s game. With multiple teams on back-to-backs, it’s fair to assume more news will be coming out.
