NBA Player PrizePicks for NBA Finals Game 1 | June 1
Nikola Jokic FREE SQUARE: More Than 0.5 Points
Jokic has a free square of over 0.5 points — which is just a no-brainer. No further analysis is needed here; simply lock this pick in and move on to give your PrizePicks entry a bit of a boost.
Bam Adebayo More Than 34.5 Fantasy Points
Stop me if you have heard this one before. Stokastic projects Adebayo up at 40.7 fantasy points, well above 34.5. Nothing really changes here despite the new series, as Adebayo should get upwards of 38 minutes at least, and he should average around a fantasy point per minute. Also, despite what Jokic may do to Adebayo and the Heat on their defensive end, as an average defender, he should offer more opportunities for Adebayo to contribute offensively than what the Celtics gave. There will be more space for Adebayo to thrive as a playmaker and scorer, and Miami will put him out there to handle all he can defensively. As such, Adebayo should easily clear 34.5 fantasy points in Game 1.
Aaron Gordon More Than 24.5 Fantasy Points
Gordon is probably going to play massive minutes here. The most likely scenario is Gordon guarding Jimmy Butler as much as he can, and if that is the case, he will be out there a lot because Butler is almost certainly going to play 40-plus minutes. Gordon does not even have to be all that efficient with that kind of playing time — 0.75 fantasy points per minute will do the trick — and something as simple as a steal plus a runout bucket gets Gordon about a sixth of the way to his fantasy score.
The projection of 24.5 is not that high of a barrier, and Stokastic has him at 30.1 fantasy points tonight. And though Gordon is not asked to do much offensively, the Heat are a small team and Gordon is a high-level cutter and slasher, so the opportunities at the rim should be there. This is a strong spot for the more play.
