NFL DFS Picks for Week 13: Quarterback

Cash & GPP Pick: Justin Herbert (LAC): $5,700

It’s not often the obvious cash game quarterback is also the top signal caller to target in tournaments, but Justin Herbert fits both of those bills this Sunday. Matched up with a Falcons team that has given up 25.75 DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks, Herbert himself is averaging 21.3 DKPG over his past five games, and he’s just the clear quarterback on DraftKings at only $5,800.

In cash games, Herbert is an easy click. The Chargers’ QB is projected to be by far the highest owned quarterback on the slate at 22.0%, and in cash games we generally want to follow that ownership. Though he will undoubtedly end up as the highest owned signal caller on Sunday, Stokastic’s Sims still don’t think the field is getting to him enough. As of this writing, Herbert is showing up in 30.0% of the top 300 lineups sorted by ROI, and he’s arguably the top overall play on the slate. No J.K. Dobbins certainly doesn’t hurt Herbert’s case here, as it’s likely head coach Jim Harbaugh leans on his quarterback even more.

Other NFL DFS GPP quarterback picks: Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis

NFL DFS Week 13 Picks: Running Back

Cash & GPP Pick: Chase Brown (CIN): $6,200

See Herbert, Justin. All kidding aside, if there was a player who looks better from a value perspective on DraftKings than Herbert, it’s easily Bengals’ running back Chase Brown. With Zack Moss on IR, Brown has been extremely productive as Cincinnati’s bell cow running back, and he’s still way too cheap on DraftKings at $6,200. Though targeting the Steelers with opposing running backs has been a fool’s errand in years past, Pittsburgh has been extremely vulnerable against the run this season, making Brown stand out as one of the top points per dollar plays on the board.

Since Moss went down, Brown has received every touch in the Bengals’ backfield. While this type of workload won’t continue when Moss is back, Brown is a rare commodity in fantasy football at the moment. Similar to Herbert, Brown is rightfully projected to be the highest owned running back at 40.7% on DraftKings this Sunday. Also similar to Herbert, Stokastic’s Sims think that number is far too low, as Brown is currently showing up in a whopping 80% of the top 300 lineups.

Other NFL DFS Cash Game & GPP running back picks: Alvin Kamara, Kyren Williams, Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, Chuba Hubbard, Bucky Irving, Gus Edwards, Kimani Vidal

NFL DFS Picks for Week 13: Wide Receiver

Cash & GPP Pick: Calvin Ridley (TEN): $5,700

Similar to both the quarterback and running back positions, the top cash game wide receiver is also the top tournament receiver on DraftKings this week. While pretty much all of the expensive wideouts look appealing in potentially high upside spots, Calvin Ridley is the top dollar per dollar receiver on the board at only $5,700 on DraftKings. Though he’s had a bit of an inconsistent season in his first year in Tennessee, Ridley has been much better recently, coinciding with quarterback Will Levis playing the best football of his career.

As of this writing, Ridley is projected to be one of the highest owned wide receivers on DraftKings at 18.4%. In cash games, Ridley’s $5.7K price tag helps immensely with roster construction, and considering his projected ownership, it makes sense just to plug in him and move on. It’s a similar story in tournaments, where Stokastic’s Sims are much higher on Ridley than the field is projected to be. As of this writing, Ridley is in 41.0% of the top 300 lineups, and he looks just as good in GPP’s as he does in cash games.

Other NFL cash game wide receiver picks: Puka Nacua, Mike Evans, Tee Higgins, Zay Flowers, Ladd McConkey, Brian Thomas Jr.

Other NFL DFS GPP wide receiver picks: A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson, Nico Collins, George Pickens, Michael Pittman Jr., David Moore, Devin Duvernay

NFL DFS Week 13 Picks: Tight End

Cash Game Pick: Evan Engram (JAX): $4,800

With Jacksonville’s starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence out since Week 9, the price tags on all of the Jaguars’ skill position players has continued to go down with Mac Jones behind center. Lawrence is now expected to play in Week 13, and as such, there’s a lot to like about Jacksonville on DraftKings this week.

While a bunch of Jaguars look good from a tournament perspective on DraftKings, Evan Engram is the obvious top tight end to target in cash games. As of this writing, Engram is projected to be by far the highest owned tight end on the board at 19.5%, and it makes sense considering his cheap $4,900 price tag on DraftKings.

GPP Pick: Dallas Goedert (PHI): $4,300

With wideout DeVonta Smith still questionable for Philadelphia’s Sunday tilt against Baltimore, Stokastic’s Sims are extremely high on the other Eagles pass catchers. Even if Smith plays, this is still a great spot for Jalen Hurts and co., matched up with a Baltimore defense that continues to get torched in its secondary. While wideout A.J. Brown is the obvious player to want amongst the Eagles’ pass catchers, tight end Dallas Goedert is a much more affordable alternative, and he’s popping in Stokastic’s Sims.

As of this writing, Goedert is projected to be 12.4% owned on DraftKings. Considering Goedert is showing up in 57.3% of the top 300 lineups in the Sims, it’s clear he’s top tight end to target in GPP’s.

Other NFL DFS Cash Game & GPP tight end picks: Trey McBride, Cade Otton, T.J. Hockenson, Will Dissly
