Saturday, Dec. 5

Josh Jacobs, RB | Las Vegas Raiders (Ankle): The Raiders are ruling Jacobs out during Week 13 due to an ankle injury. Devontae Booker will get the start and play a prominent role in the Raiders run game. Booker gets a nice matchup against the winless Jets this Sunday and should be rostered in season-long fantasy football leagues. Booker is also an intriguing option via DFS platforms.

Phillip Lindsay, RB | Denver Broncos (Knee): Lindsay heads into this Sunday’s Week 13 matchup with the Chiefs bearing a questionable tag. He did practice with the Broncos on Thursday and Friday, which puts him on the more probable side of his current questionable tag. This game has a negative game script written all over it. Lindsay will be viewed as an RB2 with low upside this Sunday.

Jerry Jeudy, WR | Denver Broncos (Ankle): Jeudy has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury for the last couple of weeks. He practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday and was a full participant Friday. Jeudy is listed as questionable heading into Week 13 as the Broncos get set to play the Chiefs.

Darnell Mooney, WR | Chicago Bears (Ankle): Mooney’s name popped up on the Bears’ Friday injury report. It’s an untimely setback late in the week for Mooney, which doesn’t bode well for his Week 13 availability. However, head coach Matt Nagy fully expects Mooney to play and claims the team is just being precautious about the receiver. The Bears face the Lions in Week 13, and Mooney carries WR4 status if active. If Mooney sits, Anthony Miller will get the start in a favorable matchup.

Allen Robinson, WR | Chicago Bears (Knee): Robinson injured his knee while practicing with the Bears on Thursday. He did practice with the team on a limited basis on Friday, and the Bears have listed him as questionable heading into Week 13. Robinson has an excellent matchup this Sunday against a banged-up Detroit Lions secondary. Even with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky under center, Robinson is still a WR1 in Week 13.

Todd Gurley, RB | Atlanta Falcons (Knee): Gurley looks set to return in Week 13 after missing Week 12 due to a knee injury. Running backs Ito Smith and Brian Hill split the workload for the Falcons during Gurley’s absence. Gurley will slot back in as the team’s primary runner Sunday. It is worth mentioning that this Sunday’s matchup against the Saints isn’t very favorable for Gurley. Gurley is a touchdown-dependent RB2 this week.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons (Hamstring): The Falcons are listing Jones as questionable for Week 13. He ran passing routes on Friday during practice for the Falcons and told reporters that he feels good while running. Jones has suffered multiple in-game injuries this season. Even with that being said, Jones is still a WR1 any time he steps on the field.

Friday, Dec. 4

Josh Allen, QB | Buffalo Bills (Ankle/Knee): Allen’s name was on the Bills injury report Thursday for knee and ankle issues. Allen still practiced with the Bills in full on Thursday, which indicates he should be ready to play in his Week 13 match with the San Francisco 49ers.

Calvin Ridley, WR | Atlanta Falcons (Ankle/Foot): Ridley practiced with the Falcons on Thursday but held to limited work. This may be nothing more than the Falcons exercising caution with Ridley heading into Week 13. All signs point to Ridley suiting up Sunday when the Falcons face the New Orleans Saints. Teammate Julio Jones was a DNP for the Falcons on Thursday and may be in danger of missing Week 13. Ridley becomes a top-10 wide receiver option if jones can’t play Sunday.

Michael Thomas, WR | New Orleans (Ankle): Thomas was limited at practice for the Saints on Thursday due to an ankle injury. Thomas doesn’t seem to be in any danger of missing any time at all. The Saints face the Falcons in Week 13. The last time these two teams met each other, Thomas went off for 109 yards on 9 receptions with Taysom Hill under center. There is no reason to shy away from the stud receiver against a porous Atlanta Falcons defense. Thomas carries WR1 status this Sunday.

Jonnu Smith, TE | Tennessee Titans (Knee): Smith seems to be dealing with a knee injury that kept him sidelined from practice on Wednesday and Thursday. With Smith missing both days of practice this week, his availability for Sunday’s match is doubtful. If Smith can play this week, he becomes a very touchdown-dependent TE2. More information will be available after Friday’s injury report is released for the Titans.

Kyler Murray, QB | Arizona Cardinals (Shoulder): Murray’s throwing shoulder has been giving him trouble since Week 11. Murray did participate in practice for the Cardinals in full on Thursday and looks ready to play in Week 13. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury told the media that Murray’s shoulder isn’t an issue, despite the noticeable drop off in production during the Cardinals Week 12 loss to the Patriots. Murray has a tough Week 13 match against the Los Angeles Rams and holds QB1 status this Sunday.

J.K. Dobbins, RB | Baltimore Ravens (COVID): The Ravens activated Dobbins off the team’s injured reserve/COVID list on Friday. Fellow running back Mark Ingram will remain on the COVID list for at least one more day before being cleared. It’s worth mentioning that Dobbins out-snapped Ingram and Gus Edwards the last time all three played together. Dobbins is a borderline RB1 heading into a Tuesday matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Lamar Jackson, QB | Baltimore Ravens (COVID): Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Jackson is eligible to return from the team’s injured reserve/COVID list. This news comes as we just got word that backup quarterback Robert Griffin is heading to IR due to a thigh injury. The Ravens will activate Jackson ahead of his Week 13 Tuesday matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Matt Breida, RB | Miami Dolphins (Covid): The Dolphins placed Breida on the injured reserve/COVID list Friday afternoon. It goes without saying that Breida will be unavailable for Week 13. ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe reported that Myles Gaskins is on track to play this week. The Miami Dolphins backfield is dealing with a bunch of injuries at the moment. Running back Salvon Ahmed carries a doubtful tag heading into Sunday. The Dolphins have listed DeAndre Washington listed as doubtful also. Gaskins looks to step into a hefty workload in Week 13 once cleared.

Thursday, Dec. 3

Josh Jacobs, RB | Las Vegas Raiders (Ankle): The Raiders held Jacobs out of practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury sustained during Week 12. It’s a bad start to the week after hearing on Monday that Jacobs had a chance to play in Week 13. Devontae Booker will be the starter this Sunday if Jacobs is forced to miss any time. Booker will handle a massive workload if Jacobs sits Sunday and would be considered a plug and play RB2 in Week 13.

DJ Chark, RB | Jacksonville Jaguars (Ribs): Chark practiced with the Jaguars on a limited basis Wednesday due to a rib injury that forced him to miss Week 12. Chark seems to be on track to play in Week 13. The Jaguars will face a Minnesota Vikings team that ranks 9th in overall defense. Barring any setbacks, Chark is a WR3 with not much upside this Sunday.

Irv Smith, TE | Minnesota Vikings (Groin): The Vikings training staff have kept Smith sidelined from practice Wednesday and Thursday this week. Smith has been battling a groin injury that caused him to miss Week 12. Kyle Rudolph started in place of Smith in Week 12 and ran 37 passing routes. Rudolph finished his day with a stat line of 8 targets, 7 receptions, and 68 yards during Week 12. With Smith looking doubtful for this week’s match against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Rudolph becomes an interesting streaming option once again via season-long fantasy football leagues and an intriguing option on all DFS platforms.

DeAndre Washington, RB | Miami Dolphins (Hamstring): The Dolphins held Washington out of practice on Wednesday. Washington seems to be dealing with a hamstring injury at the moment. The Dolphins faced the Jets in Week 12, where Washington rushed 13 times for 39 yards. Myles Gaskins is due back with the team any day now. Running back Salvon Ahmed practiced with the team Wednesday on a limited basis and is on track to play, making Washington irrelevant from a fantasy football perspective.

Jerry Jeudy, WR | Denver Broncos (Ankle): Jeudy practiced with his team on Wednesday on a limited basis. Jeudy also participated in a limited practice for the Broncos Thursday. There are no signs that indicate Jeudy is in any jeopardy of missing Week 13. The Broncos got quarterback Drew Lock back from the injured reserve/COVID list earlier in the week, which is a slight upgrade for Jeudy. The Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. Jeudy holds WR3 status heading into Sunday.

Phillip Lindsay, RB | Denver Broncos (Knee): The Broncos held Lindsay out of practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. Lindsay did practice on a limited basis with the Broncos on Thursday. It seems that Lindsay is on the right side of the tracks in regards to playing this Sunday. Lindsay’s Week 13 availability will depend on Friday’s practice session. More clarity on this situation will be available after the Friday injury report for the team is released.

Julio Jones, WR | Atlanta Falcons (Hamstring): Jones did not practice with the Falcons on Thursday. Jones has been dealing with a hamstring injury all season long. The falcons may just be giving Jones a day of rest. It’s worth noting that the Falcons usually give their vets one day off a week. Friday’s practice will reveal more as far as Jones’s playing status is concerned for Week 13.

David Johnson, RB | Houston Texans (Concussion): Texans Offensive coordinator Tim Kelly spoke to the media on Thursday and said Johnson has looked good since returning to practice. Kelly also told reporters that he looks forward to being able to mix Johnson back into the offense. The Texans haven’t activated Johnson from the team’s injured reserve list yet. However, it seems Johnson has a legitimate chance to play in Week 13. The Texans are looking for any offensive spark after losing speedster Will Fuller for the season’s duration due to suspension for PED use. Johnson will immediately resume bell cow duties for the Texans run game if activated before Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts during Week 13.

Carlos Hyde, RB | Seattle Seahawks (Toe): Hyde was held out during practice for the Seahawks on Thursday due to a toe injury. It’s a revolving door of injuries or the Seattle backfield at the moment. According to head coach Pete Carroll, Chris Carson (foot) practiced with on a limited basis Thursday and is set to play in Week 13. Friday’s injury report will tell us more about Hyde’s Week 13 playing status. DeeJay Dallas will mix in behind Carson if Hyde gets ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Wednesday, Dec. 2

Kenny Golladay. WR | Detroit Lions (Hip): The Lions training staff held Golladay out of practice on Wednesday. A hip injury has kept Golladay sidelined since Week 8. Golladay’s absence from practice to start the week is a bad sign regarding his Week 13 status. The Lions are hoping that Golladay will be able to play during Week 13. However, we will have to wait and see if he can log at least a limited practice session before Friday. Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu will likely be the team’s first and second option receivers if Golladay is held out another game.

D’Andre Swift, RB | Detroit Lions (Concussion): Swift is likely to return in Week 13 after being sidelined in Week 12 due to concussion-like symptoms. The Lions seem optimistic that Swift will clear concussion protocol and be ready to play in Week 13. Swift is practicing with the lions on Wednesday, which is also a good sign heading into Week 13. If Swift isn’t able to clear protocol, expect to see Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson be deployed via the Lions run game.

Auden Tate, WR | Cincinnati Bengals (Shoulder): The Bengals have placed Tate on the team’s injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury basically ending his season. Through nine games this season, Tate racked up 14 catches for 150 yards and zero touchdowns. Tate has one year remaining on his rookie deal before becoming a free agent.

Zach Ertz, TE | Philadelphia Eagles (Ankle): The eagles activated Ertz off the team’s injured reserve list on Wednesday. This is good news for a Philadelphia offense that has struggled to put anything together with quarterback Carson Wentz under center. While Ertz is by far the best pass-catcher on the Philadelphia roster at the moment, it’s hard to recommend any of the Eagles pass catchers in Week 13 while Wentz continues his struggles. Expect Ertz to see a fair amount of targets Sunday when the Eagles play the Green Bay Packers. Dallas Goedert will play behind Ertz, making Richard Rodgers unplayable.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB | Miami Dolphins (Thumb): Tagovaila practiced with the Dolphins on Wednesday on a limited basis due to a thumb injury sustained during Week 11, which caused him to miss Week 12. Tagovalioa practiced last week; however, the Dolphins ultimately downgraded Tagovailoa and ruled him out before game time. Ryan Fitzpatrick started in place of Tagovaila the previous week and would do so again this Sunday if Tagovailoa isn’t able to play in Week 13.

Salvon Ahmed, RB | Miami Dolphins (Shoulder): Ahmed returned to practice for the Dolphins on Wednesday after missing Week 12 due to a shoulder injury. Barring any setbacks in practice this week, Ahmed is on track to play in Week 13. Miami will likely use a committee approach with Matt Breida, Patrick Laird, DeAndre Washington, and Ahmed when the Dolphins face the Cincinnati Bengals.

Adam Thielen, WR | Minnesota Vikings (COVID): The Viking removed Thielen from the team’s injured reserve/COVID list on Wednesday. Nothing is stopping Thielen from starting in Week 13. Thielen will return to WR1 status this Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Todd Gurley, RB | Atlanta Falcons (Knee): Gurley practiced with the Falcons on Wednesday. Gurley didn’t practice all last week and will be limited to individual drills due to a knee injury. The Falcons face the Saints in Week 13. The match isn’t very appealing for those wanting to deploy Gurley in season-long fantasy football leagues. The Saints are ranked 2nd in run defense. Gurley is a dice play RB2 during Week 13.

Dalvin Cook, RB | Minnesota Vikings (Ankle): Cook practiced with his team on Wednesday. However, he was a limited participant due to an ankle injury sustained during Week 12. It’s important to point out that Cook has been handling a heavy workload as of late. Cook has managed to eclipse 20 touches in his last five contests. Likely, the Vikings are just taking it easy with Cook. Minnesota has a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

Josh Jacobs, RB | Las Vegas Raiders (Ankle): NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Jacobs has a chance to play during Week 13. Jacobs sustained a sprained ankle that forced him to leave during his Week 12 contest against the Falcons. The run game for the Raiders was non-existent against Atlanta. The Falcons annihilated the Raiders this past Sunday with a final score of 43-6. Jacobs was only able to rush for 27 yards on seven carries before leaving the game due to the injury that occurred early in the third quarter. Devontae Booker replaced Jacobs and led the team in carries for the duration of the game. Booker should be added in a season-long fantasy league where managers may need help at the running back position if Jacobs cannot play this Sunday. Booker also becomes an interesting play on DFS platforms in Week 13 if Jacobs sits.

Will Fuller, WR | Houston Texans (Suspended): Fuller went public on Instagram Monday announcing that the NFL suspended him for six games due to violating the leagues’ performance-enhancing substances policy. The Texans find themselves in a bit of a conundrum. They just released Kenny Stills recently, and veteran receiver Randall Cobb was just placed on IR not long ago. With Fuller gone for the season’s duration, the Texans will now turn to Brandin Cooks as Houston’s No. 1 receiver. Keke Coutee and Isaiah Coulter will also see work during three-receiver sets.

Daniel Jones, QB | New York Giants (Hamstring): There seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding the timeline of Jones’s recent hamstring injury. Jones sustained the injury during Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. We do know two certain things. The first we know for sure is that Jones will miss Week 13. The second thing we know for certain here is that Jones will be miss some time. We will have to watch for reports to see how well Jones progresses during rehab. In the meantime, Colt McCoy will take snaps under center for the Giants in Week 13.

Brandon Aiyuk, WR | San Francisco 49ers (COVID): The 49ers activated Aiyuk off the team’s injured reserve/COVID list on Tuesday afternoon. COVID has kept Aiyuk sidelined during the last couple of weeks. Aiyuk gets a matchup against the Buffalo Bills during Week 13. Aiyuk is a WR3 with upside heading into this Monday.

Julian Edelman, WR | New England Patriots (COVID): The New England Patriots placed Edelman on the team’s injured reserve/COVID list on Monday. New England already placed Edelman on the injured reserve before being moved to the team’s COVID list. The Patriots will continue to deploy Damiere Byrd, N’Keal Harry, and Jakobi Meyers during three-receiver sets in Edelman’s absence.
