Week 16 First Look: DraftKings & FanDuel NFL DFS Picks
NFL DFS Picks: Quarterback
Jared Goff — For those looking at cheap quarterbacks, Goff stands out with a matchup against a porous Seahawks’ secondary. The Rams are 1.5-point underdogs in a game totaled at 47.5. The Seahawks allow 293 passing yards per game, which ranks dead last in the league. Goff has at least 30 pass attempts in all but two games this season, and he attempted 37 when these teams met earlier this season. Goff notched 302 passing yards in that game, and he brings a solid floor to the Week 16 DFS slate.
Jalen Hurts — Making his second start in Week 15, Hurts continues to impress with the Eagles. After tossing 167 yards in his season debut, Hurts ran it back with 338 yards in his second start. Hurts also has at least 63 rushing yards in both starts, giving him an excellent floor. This week Hurts faces a struggling Dallas defense in a game totaled at 49.5 points. Priced at $7,000 and $8,200 on DraftKings and FanDuel, respectively, Hurts is reasonably priced.
NFL DFS Picks: Running Back
Darrell Henderson — With Cam Akers suffering a multi-week ankle sprain, Henderson looks like the primary beneficiary. In Week 15, both Henderson and Malcolm Brown handled a pair of touches, while Akers operated as the lead back. However, Henderson had five games with at least 15 touches earlier this season. Mentioned above, the Rams draw the Seahawks as 1.5-point favorites. Missing the weekly pricing adjustment, Henderson looks like strong value at $4,500 and $5,600 on DraftKings and FanDuel.
J.K. Dobbins — With Mark Ingram late scratched, Dobbins continued to display his feature-back ability in Week 15. Dobbins now has four straight games with at least 10 carries and a rising opportunity share in that span. This week, Dobbins and the Ravens draw the New York Giants as 10.5-point favorites, giving the team a run-first game script. Dobbins out-touched Gus Edwards 15-to-11 in Baltimore’s most recent game.
NFL DFS Picks: Wide Receivers
Terry McLaurin — Battling through a revolving door at quarterback, McLaurin continues to see immense opportunity in Washington’s offense. So far this year McLaurin has a 25.4% target share in Washington’s offense while already eclipsing 1,000 yards receiving. Washington draws a tougher matchup against a Carolina secondary allowing just 6.6 yards per pass attempt, but McLaurin is too cheap for his volume heading into Week 16.
Curtis Samuel — Quickly emerging as Teddy Bridgewater‘s go-to receiver, Samuel stands out as a solid receiver play on the other side of the Washington – Carolina game. Samuel now has at least nine target in three of his last four games. Priced at $4,900 and $5,900 on DraftKings and FanDuel, Samuel offers a solid price-adjusted play on the Week 16 DFS main slate.
NFL DFS Picks: Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert — Another player suffering through poor quarterback play through most of 2020, Goedert’s opportunity within Philadelphia’s offense continues to stand out. Goedert now has at least six targets in each of his last six games with the Eagles. While he only reached 70 yards twice in that span, Goedert’s involvement in the offense makes him an intriguing punt play. Priced at $3,600 and $5,700 on DraftKings and FanDuel, Goedert is a preferred option for those looking to pay down.
Hunter Henry — Quietly receiving strong opportunity, Henry continues to offer a viable tight end option in the mid-priced range. On the year, Henry has at least four targets in all but one game. This volume equates to a 17% target share in the NFL’s fastest offense. This week the Chargers play the Broncos in a game totaled at 48.5 points. Still a focal point of the Chargers’ offense, Henry deserves a look in all formats this weekend.
