Yahoo NFL DFS Picks: Rankings & Values NFL Divisional Round Lineups

Awesemo has a ton of great tools and NFL DFS rankings to tackle all the largest contests in DFS. This article will go through and highlight some of the week’s highest-projected Yahoo NFL picks at each position for the NFL Divisional Round for this Sunday. It will also provide insight into rostership projections and provide some other matchup information for optimal Yahoo NFL picks for daily fantasy lineups each week.

Top Graded QB: Josh Allen $43 | Grades: A, Values: C

The Bills Josh Allen is coming off one of the best playoff performances in history. Obviously the competition gets stiffer this week but we should not be shocked that Allen is again at the top of the projections on Awesemo this week. The price gap between him and Patrick Mahomes makes this a more difficult choice obviously but the matchup favors Allen. Kansas City has allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year and have ceded the most touchdowns to quarterbacks this season. There’s a solid enough gap in the games and projections that ensuring we get the top quarterback in our lineup should be our main concern. Allen projects as the most likely to accomplish that feat this Sunday and is worthy of the cash.

Top Value QB: Matthew Stafford $29 | Grades: C, Values: B

If you are looking for a more contrarian route on the Sunday slate the sub-$30 price-tag on Matthew Stafford makes him the most intriguing target. Stafford does have the lowest point projection of the four quarterbacks on offer for this Sunday but he’s got nearly identical stats to Tom Brady, who is $6 more expensive. Stafford was uber efficient in his last game against the Cardinals and faces a Tampa Bay team who he gouged for 343 yards and four touchdowns back in Week six. Stafford and the Rams passing attack is a viable alternative for stacking here.

Top Graded RB: Leonard Fournette $24 | Grades: B, Values: C

Obviously we have to wait and see on Leonard Fournette this week, but the veteran would be in line for a massive workload if he’s healthy enough to play. Fournette returned to practice this week and does look likely to suit up. He leads the projections on Awesemo at running back and comes at a still very affordable price at under $25. Tampa’s lack of wide receiver depth also puts Fournette in a situation where he could push for seven-plus targets, especially if the game gets out of hand. Even if he ends up being the chalk, there’s really no safer option at running back (assuming he does indeed play.

Top Value RB: Cam Akers $19 | Grades: C, Values: B

The Rams surprised a lot of people last week by giving Cam Akers the ball 18-times and allowing him to play on 58% of the snaps. Considering Akers came out of that game healthy, we should be expecting him to receive a similar or bigger workload here. The second-year player rates out with the best value score on Awesemo of any running back in play this week for Yahoo daily fantasy. Top Graded WR: Tyreek Hill $23 | Grades: A, Values: B

While the top of the wide receiver projections continue to be dominated by Cooper Kupp, the value we are getting on Tyreek Hill — a wide out that has seen 10-plus targets in 10 games this year — is pretty much unmatched on this slate. Hill rates out with the second-highest point projection on Awesemo for Sunday and looked about as healthy as he has been all season last week against Pittsburgh. Hill’s five targets last week were below expectations but he scored on a classic go route, the first he’s done so in a long while. You don’t have to fade Kupp, but loading up on value receivers like Hill this Sunday does feel like a great strategy for GPPs.

Top Value WR: Van Jefferson $14 | Grades: D, Values: C

If we’re looking for a true low-rostered and low priced value target this week, the Rams’ Van Jefferson is a player who sticks out for numerous reasons in the Awesemo Projections. His salary and rostership projections are both well below Odell Beckham Jr.’s but the point projections on Awesemo has the two very close. Even with Beckham in the lineup, Jefferson has played on over 65% of the snaps in the last two weeks and his 16.0 yards per catch average means we don’t necessarily need a Kupp workload for him to off this week. Whether you’re using him as a member of a Rams stack or a simple punt play, Jefferson’s a great ceiling target for Divisional Weekend.

Top Graded TE: Rob Gronkowski $25 | Grades: A, Values: D

The Buccaneers only targeted Rob Gronkowski five times last week, but the game this week will likely call for more usage. Gronkowski had averaged 10 targets the last three games of the regular season and he rates out this week with the best point projection at tight end for Sunday. The Rams have an athlete on the outside in Jalen Ramsey, who should be able to make life much more difficult for Mike Evans than the Eagles did last week and, for fantasy purposes, that should only mean good things for Gronkowski’s target share. He’s the logical pay-up option for Sunday.

Top Value TE: Tyler Higbee $17 | Grades: C, Values: D

There’s a big gap between the top couple of options at tight end on Sunday so paying down isn’t necessarily something you need to consider. Still, Tyler Higbee does grade out with the highest points projection of any tight end under $20 for this week and has been featured in this Rams offense in the past. Higbee’s ceiling may also be a lot higher than people realize as he’s a literal every down player and a logical alternative to Kupp on short routes — if the Buccaneers are successful in bracketing him. Higbee’s really the main and only value tight end you need to look at here under $20.
