Yahoo Daily Fantasy: NFL Week 11 Preview, Pricing & Value Plays

Awesemo has a ton of great tools and NFL DFS strategy to tackle all the largest contests for Week 11 in NFL DFS. This article will provide some first impressions of the upcoming slate, including some of the top matchups and value plays. It will discuss salaries and who sticks out at various tiers for Yahoo daily fantasy NFL picks this week.

There were not a ton of injuries to report from Week 11. The biggest news likely came via free agency, where Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Rams. He had a minimal impact his first game but could have a bigger role after their bye in Week 11. Alvin Kamara missed Week 10 for the Saints, and Aaron Jones (knee) looks set to miss one to two weeks with a sprained MCL. Week 11 has plenty of big matchups and close game spreads, with Dallas – Kansas City (55.5 over/under) having the biggest point total for the week.

Yahoo Daily Fantasy: Week 11 NFL First Look & Value Plays

QB Dak Prescott — $37

The Cowboys are 2.5-point underdogs as of writing for this road game in Kansas City, but they do have a 27-point implied total and a great matchup against a Chiefs team that ranks second-to-last in sacks per game and yards per attempt allowed. Dak Prescott looked much improved last week, as the Cowboys dismantled the Falcons and likely will be asked to do more this week against the Chiefs. Prescott is averaging a stout 70% completion rate on the year and has gone for over 20 fantasy points on Yahoo in four of his last five games. His fantasy floor and ceiling look through the roof against the Chiefs whose offense should put pressure on Dallas to throw more often.

Awesemo’s Matt Gajewski also locked in on Prescott when checking out the DraftKings and FanDuel pricing in his Week 11 NFL DFS First Look article. Check out the other players Matt found who jumped out in the early look at pricing.

QB Cam Newton — $26

Cam Newton has gone from irrelevant one week to a heady bargain play in DFS the next week. He looks set to take over the starter role for Carolina in Week 11, as it has been reported that he will take most of the first-team snaps in practice this week. Newton came in and ran three times in split duties last week and promptly scored a short-yardage touchdown. This one does not need much explaining, as it is very likely the Panthers will stick to a run-heavy game plan with Newton at quarterback. Plus, they play a depleted Washington team that lost Chase Young last week and has given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year. Newton is back and makes for a great pay-down target.

RB Joe Mixon — $30

The Raiders allowed 4.4 yards per carry and 109 yards receiving (on 10 receptions) to the Chiefs running backs last week. They have allowed 4.5 yards per carry on the season (eighth worst in the NFL) and the ninth-most receptions to opposing running backs this year. Joe Mixon has gone for at least four catches and 40 yards receiving in three of his last four games, and he takes on a weak Raiders linebacker crew that has been exposed by good offenses numerous times this year. Mixon has high ceiling and is a worthy pay-up candidate this week.

Latest NFL DFS Content

RB D’Onta Foreman — $14

D’Onta Foreman may pick up some steam as a cheap running back target after he out-touched newly signed Adrian Peterson in Tennessee’s narrow win over the Saints in Week 10. Foreman only averaged about 3 yards per carry, but he managed 48 yards receiving on just two catches and is clearly going to have a role going forward. An explosive player coming out of college, he is also in a revenge spot against the team that drafted him — and one of the worst run defenses in the league — in the Texans.

WR Deebo Samuel — $29

Deebo Samuel just keeps on chugging along. He posted perhaps his most complete game of the year in Week 10, going for 27.5 fantasy points and two touchdowns against a supposedly great Rams secondary. Kyle Shanahan keeps scheming ways to get Samuel involved, and he is leading the league in yards after the catch (ahead of even Cooper Kupp). The Jaguars do not have any great athletes in the secondary and allow the fifth-most yards per pass attempt against. This could be another bloodbath.

WR Jaylen Waddle — $16

Jaylen Waddle looks far too cheap for a player who comes into Week 11 averaging 8.6 targets per game and who should continue to be a huge part of the Dolphins’ target tree given that DeVante Parker has gone on IR. Waddle was a prime-time bust in Week 10, with Albert Wilson making a splash, but Waddle’s price feels like an overreaction. The Jets secondary got destroyed last week by Stefon Diggs and are last in the league in yards per pass attempt against (at 9.7 yards per) over the last three games. Using Waddle is a fine way to free up salary in Week 11.

TE Cole Kmet — $14

The Bears take on the Ravens, who have allowed the fourth-most yards and second-most touchdowns to the tight end position this year. Cole Kmet also has slowly started to establish himself as one of the main targets in the Bears offense, as he has gone for at least four catches and 40 yards in three of his last four games. The price is right, and the opponent on tap for Week 11 means he may finally have a ceiling game.

TE Dan Arnold — $13

There is not much to delve into, as Dan Arnold has featured in these DFS articles consistently for the last three weeks. Arnold grabbed another five catches last week for over 60 yards, and he has seen seven or more targets in each of his last three games. His price continues to be extremely cheap compared to the tier of players in front of him who are getting equal or lesser volume. He is playing nearly every snap and eventually will find the end-zone. Keep playing him at these prices until he does.
