Yahoo Daily Fantasy: First Look NFL Week 13 Pricing & Value Plays

It will discuss salaries and who sticks out at various tiers for Yahoo daily fantasy NFL picks this week.

Week 13 has an 11-game main slate. As of writing, there is only two games with a point total over 50 and no games over 52. The Bengals – Chargers game (currently 50.5) has the potential to climb though as the week progresses.

Yahoo Daily Fantasy: Week 13 NFL First Look & Value Plays

QB Justin Herbert — $34

The Bengals and Chargers play in a game with some good offensive potential this week. The over/under is set at 50.5 (tied for highest on the slate), and Justin Herbert has posted 21 or more Yahoo points in three of his last four games. Herbert has averaged 39.9 pass attempts per game this year (third most in the league) and has displayed more potential as a rusher of late, averaging five carries and 40.5 yards over his last four games. He is a top-five play at quarterback this week in the Awesemo point projections and is only the fifth-most expensive quarterback on Yahoo, making him an excellent DFS target there.

QB Russell Wilson — $25

At the start of the season getting Russell Wilson available at just $25, cheaper than Tyrod Taylor ($26) and Taylor Heinicke ($26), would have seemed crazy. After averaging just 0.66 touchdowns and 171 yards passing over his last three games, though his price crater should not be a shock. Wilson may not be playing great, but he and the Seattle receivers are at their lowest sentiment point of the season and will likely garner low rostership against an improving 49ers defense.

RB Joe Mixon — $34

Joe Mixon has quietly been ascending the running back rankings over the last month or so, exceeding 23 points on Yahoo in five of his last six games. While he is getting some insane volume (32 touches last week and 30 the week before), Mixon’s efficiency is admirably, as he has averaged 4.96 yards per carry in his last two games despite getting the monster workloads. Mixon is a top-five running back this week and plays a Chargers defense that is third last in yards per carry against this year. He is a great pay-up target in a game with loads of fantasy potential.

RB Jamaal Williams — $16

A lot of eyes will be on Alexander Mattison with Dalvin Cook out, but Detroit’s Jamaal Williams is an even cheaper option who should also be getting a monster workload this week. Williams played on over 70% of the snaps for the Lions once D’Andre Swift went down last week and is slotted to take over most of the work for the Lions at running back against a Minnesota run defense that is last in yards per carry against this year. Williams will almost assuredly come with less rostership than Mattison too but is a solid pass catcher who saw five targets last game despite playing in less than the entire game. He is a great leverage play this week.

WR Justin Jefferson — $32

The Vikings have a solid implied team total of 27 this week and are taking on a Lions secondary that has been dead last in yards per pass attempt against all season. The Lions simply do not have the athletes in their secondary to slow down elite WR1’s and have burned for 100-yard games by Cooper Kupp, Davante Adams and Jefferson (seven receptions and 124 yards in Week 7) this year. Jefferson is second in wide receiver projections on the main slate this week, and using the Vikings receivers (over the likely popular Mattison) is a solid GPP strategy for Week 13.

WR Hunter Renfrow — $18

The Raiders already lost their top wide receiver for the season (and beyond) and also saw Darren Waller go down on Thanksgiving with an IT band issue. Waller is doubtful to play in Week 13, and his absence would be massive for Hunter Renfrow’s prospects, as he has seen nine targets in three of his last four games. The matchup with Washington is a good one, as they have been weak against the pass all year and have given up the fourth-most receptions to opposing wide receivers on the season. Renfrow is fourth in the wide receiver projections this week, making him a smash value target at under $20.

TE George Kittle — $23

The 49ers will be without Deebo Samuel for at least one game, which leaves a bunch of targets up for grabs for the remaining receivers. George Kittle has suffered from a low target share the last couple of games, as the 49ers have been able to employ a run-heavy approach. Samuel being out, though, means there are fewer bodies to take carries, and Kittle should soak up some of those quick screen attempts given his after-the-catch ability. He is first in the Awesemo projections this week and faces a Seahawks defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year.

TE Foster Moreau — $11

The Waller injury has big repercussions given his importance to the team. In the other game Waller missed this year, Foster Moreau had six catches and a touchdown on six targets and played on every single snap. Moreau has a solid matchup against Washington, who allowed a big game to Gerald Everett last week, and Moreau has the best value score in the Awesemo model for Week 13.
