Yahoo Daily Fantasy: Week 14 NFL First Look & Value Plays

QB Dak Prescott — $37

The Cowboys are starting to feel a little pressure from Washington, who sits just two games back. This game should be competitive, and that should mean a healthy dose of Dak Prescott pass attempts. Prescott faces off against a Washington pass defense that continues to bleed big games to opposing quarterbacks. Even after holding Derek Carr to no touchdowns passing last week, Washington has allowed the most fantasy points and most touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks this year. Prescott has a great matchup and is in a spot to potentially go overlooked in DFS with lots of big-name quarterbacks on the main slate this week.

QB Trevor Lawrence — $26

It has not been pretty thus far for Trevor Lawrence in his rookie year, but there has also been flashes of a player who has the athleticism to tear up a fantasy slate if he gets in the right matchup. Tennessee has one of the worst passing defenses in the league at the moment and are coming off a game where they allowed Mac Jones to have his best day as a pro, with 310 yards and two touchdowns on just 32 passes. Lawrence has piled up over 20 yards rushing in three of his last four games and should have better red-zone chances against a weaker defense. He is a low-rostered pivot to consider for Week 14.

RB Leonard Fournette — $27

The Bills can be beaten at the line of scrimmage by solid run teams. The Buccaneers have morphed into a better rushing team over the last month or so, and Fournette comes into this game averaging 4.7 yards per carry over his last two games. On top of becoming a more explosive runner, he has also become a reliable part of Tom Brady’s arsenal and has 28 targets over his last four games. Tampa has a 28-point implied team total — second highest this week — and getting Fournette at well under $30 is one of the steals at the week.

RB Saquon Barkley — $19

Saquon Barkley has not scored in three games since returning, but he is arguably coming off his best game of the year last week when he took 10 carries for 55 yards. Barkley looked more explosive than he had the week prior and gets a Chargers defense this week that has been bottom five in yards per carry allowed all season. The juicy factor with Barkley is his usage as a receiver, as the Giants have employed a screen-heavy passing game. Barkley has seen 20 targets over his last three games and ranks fifth in the Awesemo point projections this week, making him a smash value at under $20.

WR Stefon Diggs — $29

The Bills are coming off a tough loss where a blizzard hampered their usually high-octane pass game. The Florida sunshine should remedy their woes from last week, though, and Stefon Diggs is set up for a big game. The Buccaneers have allowed the eighth-most receptions to opposing wide receivers this year and are coming off a game where they let the Falcons top receiver, unheralded Russell Gage, go for 130 yards on 11 catches. Expect Diggs and the Bills passing offense to bounce back in a game where points should flow freely.

WR D.J. Moore — $20

D.J. Moore was a first-half superstar but has become a more haphazard prospect over the last month. Even if he is going to be more haphazard with a rushing quarterback, his upside is still well in fact as he is posted a touchdown and a game over 100 yards in his last two starts. He gets a weaker Atlanta passing defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points and third-most touchdowns to the position this year. Moore has the second-highest points projection and is fantastic value option on Yahoo for Week 14.

TE Rob Gronkowski — $23

Rob Gronkowski has looked refreshed and rejuvenated since returning from injury. He has posted three multi-touchdown games on the season and is averaging 8.5 targets over his last three games. The matchup may look bad on paper, but the Bills play at a fast pace and have not played many quality passing teams like the Buccaneers this year. Gronkowski’s target share is big and locked in with no Antonio Brown. He is a great pay-up target against for Week 14 in what should be an offensive slugfest in Tampa Bay this week.

TE Evan Engram — $15

Evan Engram is one Giant who has clearly benefited from their offensive coordinator change. He has averaged over 13 yards per catch in his first two games without Jason Garrett, which is far above what he was averaging prior to the move. Engram is coming off his biggest yardage game of the season and has seen at least five targets in each of his last three games. He is still extremely cheap too and should be high on the list of value targets.
