Awesemo has a ton of great tools and NFL DFS strategy to help tackle all the largest contests for Week 14 NFL DFS. This Yahoo Daily Fantasy article will walk through some of the standouts in the early Awesemo rostership projections. It will look at who is projected to be highly rostered, who makes for good chalk plays, which highly rostered players may be worth fading and who the low-rostered pivots are in large-field tournaments. With that said, let’s get into the Yahoo daily fantasy NFL picks for Week 14.
Week 14 Yahoo Daily Fantasy NFL Picks & Rostership
Awesemo has some of the best rostership projections on the planet for NFL DFS. If playing in large-field GPPs every week, then using rostership projections can bring a massive edge by knowing where the good pivot and leverage spots will be.
Good Chalk: Taysom Hill $28 (Yahoo Projected 20.4% Rostered)
One week after he threw four interceptions, Taysom Hill is leading the way as the potential best value of the week on Yahoo at quarterback. He is simply too good a runner to worry about his inefficiencies as a passer, and the Saints have an implied team total of 24.25. Hill’s 11 carries from last week seem likely to be repeated or even improved upon, with the Saints as 5.5-point favorites. Hill has the third-best points projection of the week and can be deployed with relative confidence.
Chalk to Fade: Ryan Tannehill $25 (Yahoo Projected 16.0% Rostered)
The fact that the Titans take on the Jaguars this week makes most of their top offensive players interesting DFS targets, but one has to wonder about the true upside of Ryan Tannehill, a quarterback who threw 52 times against Houston and could not break 15 points in Yahoo’s scoring. Tannehill is ranked outside the top 10 projected quarterbacks for this week yet is coming in with over 15% projected rostership. That seems like a big disconnect and makes him an avoid.
Low-Rostered Pivot: Josh Allen $41 (Yahoo Projected 3.7% Rostered)
The price tag on Josh Allen will keep some people away from him in Week 14. Allen is also coming off a poor game, but one that can be excused given the weather. Buffalo – Tampa Bay has a 53.5 point over/under that has climbed throughout the week, and Allen projects for a big bounce-back game as he is the top-projected quarterback. He is a fine GPP pivot at under 5% rostership.
Good Chalk: Austin Ekeler $34 (Yahoo Projected 28.0% Rostered)
The Chargers are going to be without their top two wide receivers this week, leaving them with a clear hole in the receiver department. It should mean very high usage for Austin Ekeler this week in a game that is pivotal for the Chargers and their playoff chances. Los Angeles really has no choice but to play Ekeler as much as possible and exploit his ability as a receiver. He is the highest projected running back of the week, and his safe floor means not having to worry too much about high rostership projections.
Chalk to Fade: Leonard Fournette $27 (Yahoo Projected 52.0% Rostered)
Leonard Fournette looks like he may crack 50% rostership this week, which is not surprising considering he has been very productive of late and is essentially getting targeted like a No. 1 receiver — he has averaged seven targets in his last three games. Despite all that, there are lots of ceiling plays that could outscore him in this range, and the edge if he falters is worth the risk in large-fields GPPs.
Low-Rostered Pivot: Nick Chubb $29 (Yahoo Projected 2.2% Rostered)
Nick Chubb has proven he can go for over 20 points a game against pretty much anyone. He still shares some work with Kareem Hunt, and the fact he is more expensive than Fournette means his rostership this week is going to be tantalizingly low. Chubb is within 3 points of Fournette in Awesemo’s projections and has proven to have a similar ceiling to Fournette, who relies more on volume than big plays.

Good Chalk: Tyreek Hill $30 (Yahoo Projected 13.6% Rostered)
Despite being in a good matchup and available at his lowest price point of the season, Tyreek Hill is still projected for under 15% rostership this week. The Chiefs passing offense has been a little stagnant of late, but that has created an opportunity to get on Hill — who can smash slates into oblivion — at reasonable rostership projections. Hill is the highest-projected player at wideout this week and should not be faded at his current sentiment levels.
Chalk to Fade: Mike Evans $21 (Yahoo Projected 16.2% Rostered)
Mike Evans is actually getting more love than Hill this week. Evans has the second-highest rostership projection at wide receiver for Yahoo despite playing a team in the Bills that has given up the fewest touchdowns and fantasy points to opposing wideouts this year. Fournette is also more heavily involved as a receiver, as is Rob Gronkowski. Evans just does not make sense as a chalky play this week.
Low-Rostered Pivot: Cee Dee Lamb $30 (Yahoo Projected 10.4% Rostered)
Cee Dee Lamb could be overlooked in Week 14 and makes for a good pivot off of the Buccaneer receivers. He has a much better matchup against a Washington secondary that has struggled with elite wideouts all year. Lamb continues to lead the Cowboys in all major receiving categories, and his price this week should help keep his roster levels down in large-field GPPS, perhaps even under 10%.
Good Chalk: Rob Gronkowski $23 (Yahoo Projected 5.0% Rostered)
One big fantasy development that has not really been discussed much in 2021 is the return to form of Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski enters this week averaging 8.5 targets in his last three games (with no Antonio Brown) and has scored multiple touchdowns in three games this season. Despite that, not many DFS players seem to want to play him on a week where the Buccaneers are projected for over 28 points. He is good chalk and may not even be all that chalky to begin with.
Chalk to Fade: George Kittle $17 (Yahoo Projected 47.4% Rostered)
George Kittle posted a monster week against Seattle in his last start and looked great doing it. Unfortunately, that big game alerted everyone to the fact that Kittle is still good and that there are suddenly more targets up for grabs in the 49ers offense. Deebo Samuel could be back for this game, though, and the Bengals defense is much better than Seattle’s against the pass. Last week was the week to play Kittle when he was the low-rostered pivot pick.
Low-Rostered Pivot: Kyle Pitts $16 (Yahoo Projected 1.4% Rostered)
Finally the sentiment on Kyle Pitts has changed enough to where he is an interesting pivot for large fields. He has been chalky for most of the year despite not putting up the numbers to deserve such stature. This week, with people finally jumping off of Pitts, he starts to make for a much more interesting target for the large fields. He is projected with almost no rostership yet has seen 7.2 targets per game over his last nine starts. Betting he hits some positive touchdown regression against an eroding Panthers defense is not a bad idea with his sentiment low and his price well below $20.
