Yahoo NFL Picks: Divisional Round Sunday Night Football | Chiefs vs. Bills

Tonight the Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the Buffalo Bills in the featured Sunday Night Football matchup, and Yahoo is offering NFL DFS single-game contests. The general concept of creating a team remains the same, but this is a one-game player pool. The twist is that any position player can be rostered, and one is designated to receive a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points. Using Awesemo’s expert NFL projections and rankings, these are the top Yahoo NFL picks for the Divisional Round Sunday Night Football game tonight.

Yahoo NFL Picks: Divisional Round Sunday Night Football

Top SUPERSTAR Options

The SUPERSTAR position will get a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points in the single-game format. Awesemo’s NFL DFS optimizer creates daily fantasy football cheat sheets. Check out who is popping in the Yahoo NFL DFS cheat sheet for the Divisional Round Sunday Night Football game.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs – $34

Last weekend Patrick Mahomes helped author the Kansas City rout of Pittsburgh by throwing five touchdowns in the 42-21 affair. That gives him six games in a row with multiple touchdowns along with two 400 passing yard performances. Everyone is healthy and this team is firing on all cylinders having won 10 of their last 11 games. Buffalo is one of the best defenses in the league this season, though back in Week 5 Mahomes did notch 272 aerial yards which were the second most the team allowed all season. This game projects to be both close and high scoring and we should see Mahomes with at least 40 passing attempts which is a steal at his current salary.

Mahomes is one of the leading options for SUPERSTAR on Yahoo, and Matt Savoca has an even more in-depth look at his outlook tonight from a holistic view across DraftKings and FanDuel in his Week Divisional Round Sunday Night Football Showdown Breakdown.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills – $43

This is a lofty salary for Josh Allen, though it is appropriate. In his last eight games he has at least 21 fantasy points in seven with the lone outlier being the Week 13 loss to New England. Even with his lofty tag, we can still construct top notch lineups centered around a pairing of Allen and Mahomes. In five of his last six games, Allen has at least 63 rushing yards along with a trio of touchdowns. Basically we are getting a top tier quarterback and a time-share running back rolled into one player.

Yahoo NFL Core Picks

Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills – $24

The last six weeks have been outstanding for those who jumped on the Devin Singletary train as he has taken control of the Buffalo backfield. During this timeframe the third year running back is averaging nearly 100 combined yards per game with a whopping eight touchdowns. Need more evidence? Well the other running backs have combined for a paltry seven targets and 18 carries since Singletary has been on his heater. Kansas City has seen their defense improve somewhat against the rush, but they are still in the bottom-third of the league.

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs – $23

After three straight duds and a heel injury, Tyreek Hill is coming in with his lowest salary this season on the single game slates. Last week he looked frisky performing a cartwheeling handspring backflip sequence in the end zone after scoring a touchdown, so there are no concerns about his health at this time. Gamers are going to be flocking to him as his salary is ridiculously low, which of course is creating a leverage opportunity against the field for those who are risk tolerant.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills – $20

Last weekend Dawson Knox logged his third multi-touchdown game of the season and he continues to be overlooked by the DFS world in the single-game format. Since Week 10, Knox has out-targeted the rest of the tight ends in Buffalo 49 to 2 which is just absurd. We know that Allen has a history of leaning on his tight ends in the red zone and similar to Singletary in the backfield, Knox has consolidated all of the opportunities afforded his position.

Plethora of Pass Catchers

Byron Pringle ($12) and Mecole Hardman ($11) lead the way for the discount dandies wearing red tonight. Both are dynamic players who return kickoffs and punts respectively while also seeing half a dozen targets per game. Demarcus Robinson ($10) is at Yahoo minimum salary and his production has been trending up recently. Through the first 14 games of the season the veteran had 18 receptions, though in the last four games he has 11 which is a bit of a surprise.

Emmanuel Sanders ($13) and Cole Beasley ($12) are both viable options for the blue team, though Sanders is by far the better option with Beasley seeming to have fallen out of favor losing work to both Knox and Gabriel Davis ($16). Isaiah McKenzie ($12) would be better off at the Yahoo minimum salary, but he has been far more than just a kick returner over the last month. Heck, last week he had three carries in addition to three targets, though a realistic outlook is half of those opportunities tonight.
