Tonight the Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Washington Football Team in the featured Sunday Night Football matchup, and Yahoo is offering NFL DFS single-game contests. The general concept of creating a team remains the same, but this is a one-game player pool. The twist is that any position player can be rostered, and one is designated to receive a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points. Using Awesemo’s expert NFL projections and rankings, these are the top Yahoo NFL picks for the Week 16 Monday Night Football game tonight.

Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 16 Monday Night Football

The SUPERSTAR position will get a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points in the single-game format. Awesemo’s NFL DFS optimizer creates daily fantasy football cheat sheets. Check out who is popping in the Yahoo NFL DFS cheat sheet for the Week 16 Monday Night Football game.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys – $34

Quarterbacks are typically among the more popular options on Yahoo in the single-game format with their half-PPR scoring system. Dak Prescott has been in the doldrums managing to surpass 13 Yahoo Fantasy points only once in his last five appearances. It is not for the lack of volume as in this timeframe he is averaging 41.2 attempts but producing only 251.4 yards per game with five touchdowns and five interceptions along with three fumbles. While he should be performing well now that all of his key offensive playmakers are healthy, this is starting to get more than a little concerning to say the least. While Washington has a bottom-five passing DVOA, they were able to keep Prescott contained in the Week 14 matchup.

Dak Prescott is one of the leading options for SUPERSTAR on Yahoo, and Matt Savoca has an even more in-depth look at his outlook tonight from a holistic view across DraftKings and FanDuel in his Week 16 Sunday Night Football Showdown Breakdown.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys – $27

Tonight CeeDee Lamb has been assigned the second highest salary by the Yahoo algorithm. The Cowboys have been doing whatever they can to get the ball in the hands of their best playmaker and Lamb is returning punts as well as getting the occasional jet sweep. It has been five games since his last trip to the end zone, but over his last three outings he has a healthy 32 targets for 20 receptions and 200 yards along with three carries for another 48 yards.

Yahoo NFL Core Picks

Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team – $24

After missing last week while in the health and safety protocol, Taylor Heinicke will be back under center. In his last five games he has actually outproduced his counterpart Prescott which is wild to even think about. Washington will be missing their starting center and a guard, and they have allowed Heinicke to be sacked 23 times in his last seven games including five by Dallas in Week 14. The salary is too good to overlook, and there are other ways to differentiate lineups from the masses tonight. The Awesemo projections have Heinicke with the second highest median fantasy score.

Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys – $19

It will be interesting to see how many gamers land on Tony Pollard when he is just two dollars less than Ezekiel Elliott ($21) while arguably being the better fantasy option for the last two months. In his last two health games, Pollard has 12 carries for 74 yards and 7 carries for 71 yards with a score. He also has seven targets and all it takes is for Elliott to continue his slump to get a window for more action. In his last eight games, Elliott’s “best” rushing performance has been 52 yards.

Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys – $16

Gamers are still hesitant to roll with tight ends in the single-game format, so Dalton Schultz is yet again being overlooked in tournaments. Over his last seven games he has logged either a touchdown or at least 43 yards five times. The Cowboys run designed plays for him two or three times a game as part of a scripted strategy, and he will get at least one catch right in his breadbasket as he strides up the sidelines on a wheel route.

Adam Humphries, Washington Football Team – $10

Though value options are not necessary with so many middling salaries, Adam Humphries should see a handful of targets at the Yahoo minimum salary.
