The 2021 NHL season is nearly a month old and it’s been unpredictable and entertaining. Like many sports, the easiest way to maximize your ceiling is through stacking, and that couldn’t be any truer in NHL DFS. For reference, each goal averages 1.7 assists. In this article I’ll help you find the best stacks and NHL DFS picks for DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy hockey lineups using Awesemo’s Top Stack Tool.

Top Stacks: DraftKings + FanDuel NHL DFS Picks | Feb. 15
Top Stack: EDM1
Getting positive leverage on any line with Connor McDavid is tough to come by in NHL DFS. With Toronto being the darling of the slate Edmonton’s top line is definitely going overlooked.
This is somewhat a tale of two stories with this line getting a bit more ownership on FanDuel at 13.6% but regardless that can be easily matched and/or surpassed. On DraftKings specifically they come in as the third-highest top-2 stack% and third overall in leverage at 6.8%. With some other top lines like CHI1 and SJ1 getting perceived good matchups, the ownership here adds up.
As a trio, with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jesse Puljujarvi, this line has put up positive scoring and possession metrics nearly across the board. Their finishing has been lacking, which has brought down their overall success but a nice matchup with Winnipeg’s terrible defense might be the perfect combination.

Under-Owned Stack: VAN1
This is somewhat similar to situation above where I really prefer this stack on one site (FanDuel) versus the other. Projected for 6.5% ownership as a line, all things considered, isn’t enough.
On a slate with so many teams you are surprisingly hard-pressed to find fully correlated lines. Vancouver’s “lotto” line gives us all of the correlation we can handle and ceiling needed to take down a GPP. So far this year the Canucks have been fully reliant on their offense to win/lose games flying up and down the ice. Quietly, I’d say, Brock Boeser has lit the lamp 10 times already this year (3 on powerplay) and tallied points in all but one of their last six games. Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller are great puck movers with 17 Assists between them thus far.
On larger NHL DFS slates, ownership isn’t as important but correlation is. On a slate lacking this with team’s top lines, getting over to create more leverage and ceiling is easy to do with Vancouver.
