TOR1 (Hyman-Tavares-Marner)

The top line for the Leafs gets you the most exposure to the best power-play matchup on the night, and they’re only $18,500 on DraftKings in total. The even-strength matchup isn’t perfect, as they should spend a lot of time against the MacKinnon, but that line does give up their fair share of chances at 5v5, and the Tavares-Marner duo will play on the top power-play unit with Morgan Rielly. The Leafs have the 8th-best power-play on the year, while the Avalanche are the 5th-worst in killing off penalties, and they’ve been short-handed the most times in the NHL this season. Tons of ice time and a fantastic 5v4 matchup put this line in contention as the top stack on the entire slate.

STL1 (Schwartz-Schenn-Tarasenko)

The price on STL1 has dropped once again, and a perceived tough matchup on the road against the defending Stanley Cup Champs may keep their ownership in check in GPPs. They should get hard-matched against the Backstrom line at even-strength, which is surrendering over 61 Corsi Against per 60, 28 Scoring Chances Against per 60, and 11.7 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 at 5v5. STL1 has been generating as many chances as any other trio in the NHL, as they’re up to 16.3 High-Danger Chances For per 60 in a nearly 200 minute sample. The Caps are tied for the lead in Times-Short Handed, and they, too, have issues killing off penalties (77.8%), so this is one of the top values stacks on the night.

MIN3 (Parise-Coyle-Kunin)

The Wild’s 3rd line will go relatively unowned tonight compared to some of the other value around them, but they’ve impressed in their time together and should get some very good matchups on the road in Philadelphia. This line has created over 61 Corsi For, 28 SCoring Chances For, and 12.9 High-Danger Chances For per 60 at 5v5. They should get to avoid the Couturier line at even-strength and instead get to go up against the higher-paced JVR-Giroux-Konecny line (>60 CA/60). The 3rd line tag will make them less attractive, but they’re seeing 16-18 minutes per night, have a solid 5v5 matchup, and get you PP exposure against the Flyers’ 26th-ranked PK.
