The BIG news

  • For some reason last game the Capitals have switched up their Mid-six. Vrana is down with Eller and Connolly, Kuznetsov centres Oshie and Hagelin. Looks like they’ll skate with those lines again.
  • Nick Foligno returns for the Blue Jackets but will suit up on the fourth line with Nash and Dubinsky.
  • Andrew Ladd is out for the season with a torn ACL. No word yet on who takes his spot on the second line. Kuhnackl and/or Dal Colle may draw in.
  • Thomas Chabot returned from injury last time out for the Sens. He’ll take his usual spot on the top pairing with DeMelo and is on the top PP unit.
  • Josh Leivo is back after a one game absence, skating in his usual spot on VAN2. Sven Baertschi returned last game for the Canucks. He’ll skate on the third line with Guadette and Granlund. Virtanen moves down to VAN4. Both Hutton and Tanev are still out.
  • Kane-Toews-Debrincat were united last game and got a 38% 5v5 share.
  • No word yet on Ryan Getzlaf’s status. I will update if I hear anything. He is currently listed as DTD.

The little news

  • Seth Jones and Zach Werenski split PP time last game out.
  • Tanner Fritz is centering the Islanders third line between Komarov and Beauvillier. He’s a journeyman half point a game AHLer.
  • Joseph Gambardella is up on EDM2 with RNH and Chiasson. Lucic is down on EDM4. Khaira likely misses another game.
  • Cody Ceci is expected to miss tonight’s game for the Sens.
  • Derek Stepan returned last game for the Yotes.

Leverage plays

  • If Ryan Getzlaf goes, he won’t be owned. If you are around your lineups later, you can swap him in at sub 1% ownership for an edge on the field.
