NHL DFS Picks & Top Stacks | March 6
Salaries come from DraftKings
Top Stacks
Ottawa Senators Line 1 — Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stuetzle, Claude Giroux ($20,300)
This line has an impressive 4.0 expected goals per 60 minutes on moneypuck.com, and Tkachuk and Stuetzle are both on the top power play unit. They face the Chicago Blackhawks, who are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Stokastic’s Top Stacks Tool gives Ottawa over a 20% chance of being a top-2 stack tonight. If you are not looking to spend up for Connor McDavid and the Oilers, OTT1 makes for a great stack to start a DraftKings lineup.
Los Angeles Kings Line 1 — Adrian Kempe, Anze Kopitar, Quinton Byfield ($15,000)
This line has a great five-on-five matchup against the Capitals top line, which is allowing over 4.5 expected goals against per 60 minutes sample this season. The Kings top line is also expected to have under 3% ownership. Kempe and Kopitar play top power play minutes, and if you want to go with a full Kings power play stack, Kevin Fiala ($6,800) makes for a great addition in place of Byfield.

Defensemen
Matt Irwin, Washington Capitals ($2,700)
Irwin has seen an increase in minutes over the last couple of games and has one of the highest blocks rates on the slate. The Kings are expected to carry a lot of the play, so there should be plenty of shot blocking opportunities for Irwin.
Evan Bouchard, Edmonton Oilers ($3,700)
Bouchard has been playing around 20 minutes each game since the Tyson Barrie trade deadline deal and has some of the highest shot volume for defensemen on tonight’s slate. He also quarterbacks the top power play unit for the best power play team in the league.
Goalie
Jake Oettinger, Dallas Stars ($7,900)
Oettinger is expected to be the highest-owned goalie on the slate, but he has a great matchup at home against a Calgary Flames team that has the highest shot rate in the league since January 1st. As a home favorite, it’s hard to do better than sub-$8K Oettinger.
