NHL DFS Picks & Top Stacks | February 27
Salaries come from DraftKings
Top Stacks
Ottawa Senators Line 1 (Brady Tkachuk – Tim Stuetzle – Claude Giroux) $19,600
This line has been playing well lately, and Stokastic’s Top Stacks Tool has identified them as one of the highest positive leverage stacks on DraftKings today at 8.6%. Tkachuk and Stuetzle both see time on the top power play unit and have strong even-strength numbers, with over 3.96 expected goals for per 60 minutes on moneypuck.com. The Senators also have a 3.4 implied Vegas total at home against the Detroit Red Wings, and this stack provides full correlation on the top power play.
Chicago Blackhawks Line 2 (Tyler Johnson – Cole Guttman – Taylor Raddysh) $10,000
This is a stack that provides both value and upside in the late-night hammer slot. While the Blackhawks team as a whole has struggled this season, this line has respectable five-on-five numbers. Raddysh and Johnson both see time on the top power play unit and have a road total near 3.0 implied goals against the Anaheim Ducks. Additionally, this stack provides leverage versus chalky goalie option Lukas Dostal.

Defensemen
Jake Walman, Detroit Red Wings ($3,800)
Walman has seen a recent price drop on DraftKings, largely due to his inconsistency with his minutes. However, he should play 18-plus minutes tonight on a Red Wings team with a 3.1 implied Vegas total. He’s one of the more aggressive offensive defensemen on the slate, with an individual Corsi for per 60 minutes near 14. Despite being projected for only 3.6% ownership on DraftKings, Stokastic’s NHL DFS projections have him as a 2x value play.
Shea Theodore, Vegas Golden Knights ($6,300)
Theodore has been on fire lately, scoring double-digit DraftKings points in each of his last six games. He faces a tough matchup on the road in Colorado against the Avalanche, but his ownership is very low at 3.4% right now. He makes for a great one-off option to get unique in tournaments.
Goalie
Alex Stalock, Chicago Blackhawks ($6,500)
Stalock is not going to make anyone feel comfortable when clicking him in DraftKings lineups, but he sure is cheap. He is expected to start for the Blackhawks tonight against the Anaheim Ducks, and while the Ducks have a 3.1 implied Vegas total, Stalock’s low price allows for paying up for skaters in lineups. He is a solid GPP option for those willing to take on the risk.
**Update 4:10PM ET
Petr Mrazek ($7,600) is confirmed in net for the Blackhawks. Still a quality option, but he’s $1,200 more than Stalock, so not as a great of a value in the Stokastic.com projections/
