Indiana Hoosiers at Iowa Hawkeyes: Iowa OVER 79.5 (-120)
Iowa team totals are no secret — the Hawkeyes average 92.2 points per game, which ranks second in the nation behind only Gonzaga. The Hawkeyes dominate offensively even more when playing at home, as they are on Thursday, averaging 94 points in their nine home games. To dumb it down even further, Iowa has played 14 games this season and scored at least 80 points in 12 of them.
Indiana has been nothing special recently on the defensive end when facing legitimate competition, allowing 81 to Purdue, 76 to Nebraska, 80 to Wisconsin and 85 to Penn State, all in their last five games. An offensive force led by Luka Garza and surrounded by elite 3-point shooting should have no issue outscoring those totals on its home floor. I’m staying away from the double-digit spread here and simply backing Iowa to fill it up.
