Taking the under on runs at Fenway in the hot and humid summer Boston summer is a scary spot. However, two good pitchers that limit power are facing each other, and both of these teams have great bullpens. Brad Keller is primarily a ground ball pitcher. He has been very unlucky this year, with many teams finding holes in the infield in these hard-hit groundballs. Nick Pivetta has been excellent in this first year in Boston. A strikeout rate of almost 28% and an allowed xBA of only .224 lead to taking a shot at the under tonight at Fenway.

Carlos Martinez Under 4.5 strikeouts: -128 (FanDuel)

Carlos Martinez is still starting in the majors, and as long as he keeps playing, it would behoove the bettors to take the under on his strikeout props. Only a few books offer these, as they are not great bets for books to field. The matchup should not matter much since Martinez has a 14% strikeout rate, a 10% walk rate and is giving up a ton of power — an xSLG of .483 surrendered. The Diamondbacks should have a field day in this matchup, and a short outing for Martinez seems very likely.

Rich Hill Over 5.5 strikeouts: +131 (DraftKings)

Playing Rich Hill outside of Tampa’s home stadium is scary, as he gives up a little too much hard contact. However, he is going to mitigate the risk by getting to face a pitcher tonight and his strikeout prop seems quite low at 5.5 at plus odds. The Nationals do not strike out a lot, but as long as Hill remains in the game to go three times through the order, he should be able to get the strikeouts necessary. Hill is only giving up 35% hard hits and striking out 25.3% of batters, so this seems like a spot where he should get the six necessary strikeouts a large percentage of the time.

Giancarlo Stanton to Hit a Home Run: +270 (DraftKings)

This is a fantastic spot to hit home runs today for both teams in the Bronx, where 90-degree weather and 60% humidity will lead to even a pop fly going a long way. Giancarlo Stanton has been fantastic this year and is leading the league in exit velocity and a great 9.8% barrel percentage. Andrew Heaney has great strikeout stuff but also gives up a ton of power, with xSLG of .447 and 9.8% barrels. As long as Stanton makes contact, the ball should go a very long way tonight.
