Odds Boosts To Watch: NBA Odds | Tuesday, August 11

Odds boosts are exactly that: Promotions from sportsbooks where they move the MLB odds, NBA odds, NHL Odds, etc., in your favor on certain bets. Many of them are prop bets, hoping you’ll put a few dollars on someone to hit a home run or a certain team to score a certain number of goals and still win.

Our job is to highlight some of those odds boosts and help you figure out if it’s smart to buy into what the sportsbooks are selling. We scour the internet trying to find the best odds boosts for you every day from every sport. Tonight, the I am backing two odds boosts in the NBA. Here are four picks and two promotions for tonight.

New Orleans Pelicans +114 Moneyline (DraftKings)

Paired With:

NBA 110+ Point Insurance

DraftKings is offering a promotion that can be applied to any game for the rest of the regular season. Under the NBA 110+ point insurance policy, if you bet on a team’s moneyline and they lose but score at least 110 points, you get your losing bet back in the form of a free bet. This promotion which requires a one-time opt in covers all bets up to $25.

During the non-bubble regular season if DraftKings had this promotion and you bet on $25 on every underdog moneyline, you would have netted $2909.23 in profits for a 12.2% return on investment. If you had bet $25 on every favorite moneyline, you would have netted only $29.58 for a 0.1% return on investment. That is why I have been betting $25 on the moneyline for every NBA underdog for the rest of the NBA regular season. For tonight’s slate, my favorite NBA moneyline wager is for the Pelicans to win at +114 odds There are three potential outcomes under this promotion for a $25 bet:

Pelicans Win: $28.50 in net profits

Pelicans Lose and Score 110+ Points: $25 Free Bet

Pelicans Lose and Score <109 Points: $25 Loss

For this game I think that the Pelicans will beat the Kings. The Kings are always an absolute mess, and they do not deserve to be favorites. In the event that the Pelicans do not win, I think they easily score at least 110 points. They play at a high tempo and the Kings opponents average 112.1 points per game, including 124.3 points over their last three games. The Pelicans average 115.8 point per game, and I think that they will either win tonight or lose while scoring at least 110 points.

FoxBet NBA Prop Promotion

Thomas Bryant (WAS) 19+ Points: +115 (FoxBet)

Carmelo Anthony (POR) Over 14.5 Points: +100 (FoxBet)

DamianLillard (POR) 33+ Points: +120 (FoxBet)

Paired With:

$10 NBA Free Bet (FoxBet)

FoxBet has a daily promotion for NBA prop bets, that I take advantage every day. If you place three prop bets of at least $10 each on props with at least +100 odds, you get a free $10 NBA bet. All you must do before placing your bets is opt in daily to this promotion. For today’s NBA slate, there are three NBA player props that I am backing that pay either +100 or +110. There are four potential outcomes for my three bets tonight:

0 Wins: $30 Loss, $10 Free Bet

1 Win: $10, $8.50, or $8 Loss, $10 Free Bet

2 Wins: $11.50, $12, or $13.50 Gain, $10 Free Bet

3 Wins: $33.50 Gain, $10 Free Bet

With this promotion, you can substantially minimize the risk on betting NBA props. If you win at least one of your bets, you either nearly break even or you make a profit. You can pick any three NBA props that you want, but I am backing Thomas Bryant to score at least 19 points, Carmelo Anthony to score over 14.5 points and Damian Lillard to score at least 33 points.

Since the Wizards have returned to the NBA bubble, they have been without Bradley Beal and Davis Bertans, two high-volume scorers. Bryant is one of the guys who has filled the void of their absence. Do not be fooled by his 13 points per game; Bryant has scored 19 or more points in four of his last five games. Against an up-tempo team in the Bucks, I am betting on Bryant to score 19 points at +115 odds.

I like both Anthony and Lillard to score a lot of points in tonight’s game against the Mavericks. The Blazers’ point total tonight is 121.5. Over their last three games, the Blazers are averaging 122 points per game, so taking the over on that team total bet is not the smartest idea. However, targeting two players in their lineup to do well is a smart strategy.

Anthony has scored at least 20 points in the last two games. Over Anthony’s last four games, he has taken between 13 and 15 field goal attempts per game. If Anthony makes at least 40% of his field goal attempts tonight, he will easily score more than 14.5 points at +100 odds.

Since the NBA season returned, Lillard has played at least 39 minutes in each game. With an increase in minutes, Lillard has attempted 19 to 28 field goal attempts. In his last game against the defensively minded 76ers, Lillard scored 51 points. That is why I like Lillard to score 33 or more points at +120 odds.
