DraftKings is offering two promotions that can be applied to tonight’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. The first promotion is an NBA 110-point insurance policy that can be applied to any NBA game for the rest of the regular season. The terms of this promotion are simple: If you bet on an NBA moneyline and that team losses but scores 110 or more points, you get your bet back in the form of a free bet up to $25. During the non-bubble regular season, if DraftKings had this promotion and you bet on $25 on every underdog moneyline, you would have netted $2,909.23 in profits for a 12.2% return on investment. If you had bet $25 on every favorite moneyline, you would have netted only $29.58 for a 0.1% return on investment. That is why I am backing the Nuggets at +175 underdogs because that is the more profitable play with this promotion.
The other promotion that can be applied for tonight’s game between the Nuggets and the Lakers is the Draftkings “Bump Up the Bet” strategy. What DraftKings is doing is they are giving out a free bet that increases $1 per every thousand people who participate in the promotion. Currently the free bet amount is for $37, but if more people participate, the free bet amount increases. Win or lose DraftKings will award you that free bet if you bet at least $1 on the game. I would recommend betting $25 so you can take full advantage of both the Bump Up the Bet and NBA 110+ Point Insurance promotions.

There are four potential outcomes for my three bets tonight:

For Conley, since the NBA has returned, he has had some high-scoring games. He got off to a slow start this season, but in his last three games he has scored at least 20 points. Against the Dallas Mavericks, I think Conley will score at least 21 points, as the Mavericks have given up 122.7 points over their last three games. Additionally, the Mavericks defense against point guards has been close to the league average.
I would bet on Lowry having eight or more assists with or without an NBA bubble. He is a key cog in the Raptors offense, as he averages 7.5 assists per game. For him to go over his assist total, he only needs to record 0.5 more assists tonight against the Bucks. Of all 30 NBA teams, the Bucks led the league with the fastest pace. A faster pace means more scoring, and more scoring means more assists. Over the last three games, the Bucks have given up 123.7 points per game. If the Raptors score anywhere near that, you can bet that Lowry will have at least eight assists.
Since the NBA season restarted, Jokic has been an active scorer in the Nuggets offense. In three of his last four games, Jokic has scored 25 or more points. While the Lakers have one of the best defenses in the league, so do the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Utah Jazz. Against the Jazz and Thunder in the last week, Jokic scored 30 points. I like Jokic to score over 19.5 points against Anthony Davis and the Lakers tonight.
