NBA Picks & Parlays Tonight: Best Longshot Bets & Player Props Friday 3/18/22

The NBA schedule is back in high gear tonight with 12 NBA games, and there are not a lot of games left for teams to make moves for seeding in the playoffs. Every game but two has a spread under 10 points, and eight of those games have totals of at least 225 points, leaving a lot of routes to make picks for an NBA longshot parlay.

This is a perfect opportunity to use Awesemo OddsShopper to make some of the best NBA parlay picks today. Using this fantastic site and basketball betting tips can help place smart wagers in an easy-to-use fashion and maximize the ROI on the wagers. It is truly betting made simple, as it guides you in how to bet on sports, helping you find the best bet in 30 seconds or less.

Longshot NBA Parlay Picks & Player Props Today

The first step is finding the brand new Parlay Builder for OddsShopper. It is located on the top banner and is just one click away. This tool is a game changer because the Awesemo data scientists have built the parlay already. The user has the choice of what type of parlay they prefer to chase, and the state is customizable along with the sportsbook. Though it is rare, underdogs eventually have their day, and when they do, the payouts are nice. Here are our best bets for underdogs if you like to fade the favorites and cheer for the upset at high odds. As a reminder, betting the props individually is always a smart way to build your bankroll. An underdog parlay is not exactly the most stable return if it is always being bet just as a parlay. Let’s find out what the best-projected bets are for Friday on Caesars and build some NBA parlay picks on OddsShopper!

Jalen Brunson Over 15.5 Points

The Dallas Mavericks will roll into Philadelphia to face the 76ers tonight, and they will be without Reggie Bullock again, so Jalen Brunson should start alongside Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie. Scoring isn’t exactly stable outside of those three players, and they will need Brunson to chip in. He’s averaging 16 points throughout the season, and this trio has shared the court for just 77 minutes since Dinwiddie was acquired at the deadline. The fantasy production has not been there for Brunson with just 0.50 points per minute, but his true shooting is through the roof at 77.3%. It’s far easier to get clean looks at the basket and Brunson has taken at least 10 field goal attempts in every game in March. The 76ers defense is easier to attack on the perimeter since Joel Embiid is waiting in the paint, and Brunson is shooting 38% from 3. With a 57% expected win rate from OddsShopper and a +102 ROI, Brunson makes a lot of sense to kick off the parlay.

R.J. Barrett Over 3.5 Assists

There was a point where this wager was attacked as an underdog four games in a row; it hit every time, and R.J. Barrett appears to be in prime position to do it once again tonight. The key to unlocking his assist potential has seemingly been by default after Kemba Walker left the rotation on Feb. 17. Since that point, Barrett has averaged 7.4 potential assists in 10 games played and is averaging 4.3 assists. He’s making 39 passes per game, and now the New York Knicks host the Washington Wizards, who rank 25th in defensive rating. Over 47% of his passes made go to Julius Randle or Alec Burks, with Randle having the lead at 30.7%. Randle is scoring 2.8 points per game in the paint, and Washington is in the bottom five defending the paint this season. It could take just a couple of passes to Randle down low to hit the over, and the ROI is +115 for an expected win rate of 57% from OddsShopper.

Gary Trent Jr. Over 1.5 Steals

Among players who have played at least 40 games, only Dejounte Murray and Chris Paul have averaged more steals per game than Gary Trent Jr., who has 1.8 per game this season. The Toronto Raptors play the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time in three games tonight, and the Lakers are reeling in a major way. They are 2-8 over the last 10 games and a putrid 9-23 on the road, which bodes well for Toronto tonight. Los Angeles is also tied for 29th in the league in turnovers per game (14.8), and Trent will play 35 minutes or more if the game is within reach. The Raptors run their starters like few other teams in the league, but what stands out the most is an expected win rate of 56% from OddsShopper. That’s very high for two steals, and it fits in with a longshot wager at +100.

Buddy Hield Over 3.5 3-Pointers

The matchup between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets has a total of 243.5 points, one of the highest the NBA has seen all season long. Knowing that, plus the fact that Buddy Hield has an expected win rate of 73% on an ROI of +134, this is quite an appealing combination. These four picks for the NBA parlay would net a return of +1932 from the Awesemo NBA Parlay Calculator, and Hield is shooting 36.3% on 3’s this season. His attempts have come down just a bit lately, but he’s still fifth in the league in attempts on the season and is still taking nearly six attempts per game over the past four. The Pacers are missing Isaiah Jackson, and both Chris Duarte and Goga Bitadze are questionable, so there will be attempts to go around. The trio of Hield, Tyrese Haliburton and Malcolm Brogdon will have to carry the offense against a defense that is dead last in defensive rating. The pace should be intense with Houston sitting second on the year. Lastly, the Rockets are in the bottom 12 in 3-point frequency allowed, 3-point attempts per game and field goal percentage allowed on the year. Hield can’t ask for a much better matchup than tonight.
