Best NBA Picks & Parlays for Wizards vs. Grizzlies Tonight | 1/29/22

Same-game parlays are one of the most exciting new forms of betting on sports. Not only are the payouts potentially massive, but they can also be +EV. Since all of the wagers take place in the same contest, it allows you to craft a narrative that can pay off royally if it hits. Same-game parlays become even better with the help of OddsShopper. It allows you to view all of the different wagers available for each game compared to the Awesemo NBA Projections. The wider the gap between the line and the projection, the more +EV the wager. This allows you to find the best NBA betting picks easily. Let’s dive into some of the best NBA picks and parlays for Saturday, Jan. 29.

Same Game NBA Picks and Parlays: Wizards vs. Grizzlies

The first step is finding which sport you are going to wager on, so the banner at the top of the screen has the sports separated. Once you are on the NBA page, it is super simple to customize what you are looking for as far as teams and players on the left-hand side of the page.

Now, if you miss one of the odds highlighted in the article because it changed, do not worry. The lines do not always stay the same as they are updated every two minutes. There will be examples of when you can still wager based on the Awesemo projections. It is also easy to sort the props by what style you want to bet them, meaning that you can choose the highest ROI or the highest expected win rate.

Generally, the best approach is a mix of the highest ROI and expected win rate, and this process should take under 30 seconds to filter what you are looking for. The highlighted wagers in the article can also be bet individually, so if the parlay misses by one leg, it is not a total loss.

The Latest Sports Betting Content from Stokastic Odds

Desmond Bane Over 2.5 3-Pointers

Bane returned to the Grizzlies’ lineup two games ago, and he’s made just three total 3-pointers in those two contests. However, Bane has been an excellent 3-point shooter for most of the season. He’s making 41.9% of his 3-point attempts, and he’s attempting a robust 6.8 3-pointers per game. Overall, he’s averaged 2.9 made 3-pointers per game this season.

That makes this a nice opportunity to buy low on Bane’s 3-point proficiency. He’s made at least three 3-pointers in 27 of 47 games, so the fact that this prop is available at better than even money is a mistake. Let’s take advantage.

Kyle Kuzma Under 17.5 Points

Kuzma went on a ridiculous hot streak while the team was shorthanded, but they’re back to full strength. That’s had an impact on his recent numbers. He’s scored 16 points or fewer in four of his past five games, and he’s averaged just 15.6 points per game over that time frame. This game is expected to be one of the highest-scoring of the day – it leads the slate with a 230.0 total – but Kuzma’s scoring prop still seems high. OddsShopper gives him a 72% chance of hitting the under this evening.

Ja Morant Under 28.5 Points

I’ve come full circle on Morant. I will admit that I found him overhyped in the past, but he has blossomed into a full-fledged superstar in his third season. He was recently voted an All-Star starter, and it’s hard to argue that wasn’t deserved. He’s been on a tear recently from a scoring perspective, racking up at least 30 points in each of his past five games.

That said, I do think his scoring prop has become a bit inflated. Most of his biggest games came with Bane sidelined, and he shouldn’t have to do as much of the heavy lifting with Bane back in the fold. He’s posted an average usage rate of 39.8% over his past four games, which represents a sizable increase from his season average. If that returns to normal moving forward, Morant’s scoring totals should be a bit more reasonable. He’s averaged 25.9 points per game this season, which would put him under the current number.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Under 11.5 Points and Under 1.5 Assists

I’m always down to bet against KCP doing things on a basketball court. He’s had a decent season for the Wizards, but he is a clear role player who needs to play well to hit the over on his props. He’s had one assist or fewer in four of his past five games, and he’s had 11 points or fewer in three of them.

The Wizards have also prioritized getting Deni Avdija more playing time recently, which makes sense. He was a lottery pick last season, so getting him a bit more playing time is important for his development. Avdija has averaged 25.6 minutes over the Wizards’ past four games, which has cut slightly into KCP’s playing time.
