There are nine games tonight in the NBA and the slate is rife with teams fighting for playoff positioning, even if it’s not a direct matchup. Best NBA Picks and Parlays Today

The first step is locating the new Parlay Builder tab on the OddsShopper home page, which is very simple to do. After that, the user can customize it to their heart’s content. OddsShopper offers the parlay bets by state, sportsbooks and a variety of parlays. This article will be featuring the Prop Party Parlay, which gives up to five player prop bets that will give you the best chance to win based on our Awesemo simulations. The prop party is the most popular betting combo within the Awesemo community and Alex Baker — the world’s No. 1 daily fantasy player — uses these almost exclusively when he is looking for an edge. It is always a smart idea to bet each wager as a solo piece as a way to build the bankroll. Parlays by their nature are harder to hit, which is why the reward is so large. Monday’s version of the Prop Party features five wagers as of 12:15 p.m. on the DraftKings Sportsbook, so be sure to check OddsShopper for any updates when building any NBA parlay.

Trae Young Over 29.5 Points

The Atlanta Hawks are facing the Indiana Pacers tonight and the Hawks are only 1.5 games behind the Brooklyn Nets for the ninth seed in the East. Trae Young will have to continue to carry the offensive load as John Collins is out and Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari are both questionable. Young is averaging 28.2 points per game on the season as it is and the Pacers matchup is generous, to say the least. Since the trade deadline and fully embracing an effort to tank for a better draft pick, the Pacers have a defensive rating of 120.9. For context, the Houston Rockets have the worst defensive rating on the season at 115.9, so the Pacers have been dreadful on the defensive end. While the Hawks aren’t under much pressure to fall out of the play-in scenario, it wouldn’t hurt to try and grab a higher seed. Young dives to the basket 17.4 times per game and the Pacers have slid to 14th in paint points allowed. On top of that, OddsShopper gives Young a 54% expected win rate and this is a strong pick to start the NBA parlay.

Fred VanVleet Over 2.5 3-Pointers

This number has come down for Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors to a more attainable number and the expected win rate of 69% from OddsShopper is impossible to ignore. Under normal circumstances, attacking the Boston Celtics and their top-ranked defensive rating wouldn’t be the most appealing route. However, Boston will be missing Robert Williams and Al Horford and they could be without Jayson Tatum as well. Even if those latter two play, Williams is an important cog in the defense and VanVleet is going to play a ton of minutes tonight. Well, that is provided a speaker doesn’t catch fire again since VanVleet did not return in the last game after a lengthy delay. Before that contest, VanVleet was on the court for at least 36 minutes in his prior four games and Toronto now leads the Cleveland Cavaliers by one game for the sixth seed in the East. VanVleet is in the top five in 3-point field goal attempts per game this year and is shooting 38.5% from that distance.

Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds

To be clear, OddsShopper has this wager at a 48% expected win rate,, so it’s very close to a toss-up but wagering on Nikola Jokic with an ROI of +105 is appealing. The matchup simply does not get any better for Jokic tonight when the Denver Nuggets take on the Charlotte Hornets, who are fresh off a big win in Brooklyn last night. Charlotte has been tormented by big men in almost every single game this year and they rank 29th in rebounds allowed in the paint. Jokic is second in both rebounds per game this year (13.5) and rebounding chances (20.7) and the Nuggets are trying to stay out of the play-in game. They are 1.5 games ahead of Minnesota but they are also just one game behind the Utah Jazz for fifth in the West. Every game down the stretch for the Nuggets is of major importance and Charlotte ranking in the top five in pace will help the opportunities for Jokic to hit the glass. He’s already averaging 11.3 rebounds per game within six feet of the basket and it is worth at least noting his first game against these Hornets produced 21 rebounds.

Dillon Brooks Over 20.5 Points

This is the first wager with an ROI of +100 and it’s a great way to boost the return on the parlay. The Memphis Grizzlies will face some version of the Golden State Warriors tonight although the Warriors have elected to sit a lot of their rotation players. Since Memphis is missing Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks is in a fantastic spot to score at least 21 points. The expected win rate is 51% from OddsShopper and Brooks has a usage rate of 29.3% without Morant on the floor. The Warriors matchup is a little tough to gauge as far as exact numbers just because they are going to be missing so many of their regular players. Stephen Curry is out and the trio of Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Otto Porter Jr. will all likely be out. In 16 games without Morant this season, Brooks has averaged 18.6 points and in the past game, he scored 19 points in just 24 minutes because he had some foul trouble. Brooks can be a little inconsistent as a scorer but the ROI is well worth chasing in a game that features a total of 222 points.

Tre Mann Over 18.5 Points

Lastly, the nightcap between the Thunder and the Trail Blazers is a game only fantasy players could love. The five picks in the parlay would net a return of +2289 according to the Awesemo Parlay Calculator and both teams are going to be without almost every single member of their starting lineup from the first day of the year. Tre Mann is going to have plenty of chances to take shots against what amounts to a G League team tonight and in the scenario, the Thunder find themselves in, Mann has a 30.2% usage rate and a 52% true shooting rate. In this past game, Mann played 33 minutes and scored 15 points despite shooting 5-15 from the floor and he’s projected to score 21.8 points tonight. The expected win rate is among the highest of the parlay at 66% from OddsShopper and the game has a total of 222 points. The names might not be the most exciting, but there is every reason to believe Mann will score plenty of points tonight in this game environment.
