NBA Big $$$ Parlay Picks Saturday 4/16/22

The NBA playoffs are officially here for the NBA and it’s kicking off early today, with the first tipoff at 1 p.m. ET this afternoon. It’s a bit of a bad break for the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks since they are playing the early game despite being in Dallas. It is a perfect opportunity to use Awesemo OddsShopper to build some of the best NBA parlay picks today. Using this fantastic site can help place smart wagers in an easy-to-use fashion and maximize the ROI on the wagers. It is truly betting made simple since you can find the best bet in 30 seconds or less. Take these NBA betting today, then head to OddsShopper and find your best odds.

Best NBA Picks and Parlays Today

The first step is locating the new Parlay Builder tab on the OddsShopper home page, which is very simple to do. After that, the user can customize it to their heart’s content. OddsShopper offers the parlay bets by state, sportsbooks, and a variety of parlays. This article will be featuring the Prop Party Parlay, which gives up to five player prop bets that will give you the best chance to win based on our Awesemo simulations. The prop party is the most popular betting combo within the Awesemo community and Alex “Awesemo” Baker — the world’s No. 1 daily fantasy player — uses these almost exclusively when he is looking for an edge. It is always a smart idea to bet each wager as a solo piece as a way to build the bankroll. Parlays by their nature are harder to hit, which is why the reward is so large. Saturday’s version of the Prop Party features three wagers as of 10:30 a.m. on the DraftKings Sportsbook, so be sure to check OddsShopper for any updates when building any NBA parlay.

Jalen Brunson Over 20.5 Points

The Mavericks kick the day off but they’ll be doing it without their best player as Luka Doncic is out today with a quad injury. That means Jalen Brunson is going to have to help Spencer Dinwiddie to take over the reins of the offense and both players had a usage rate over 29% without Doncic on the floor since Dinwiddie was acquired. Brunson displayed a 58.8% true shooting rate in that sample size and across 17 games without Doncic, Brunson has averaged 20.4 points. He’s also averaging 16.2 field goal attempts during those games and he should be playing close to 38-40 minutes in this series until Doncic is back. OddsShopper has an expected win rate of 58% for this wager and he’s projected for over 22 points today.

Patrick Beverly Over 9.5 Points

The ROI for this wager is +105 and Patrick Beverly is going to be tasked with playing some heavy minutes for the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Memphis Grizzlies. Beverly played almost 33 minutes against the Clippers in the play-in game and now the Timberwolves have to try and contain Ja Morant for a seven-game series. Beverly doesn’t have a large usage rate at 16.1% and that’s not a big surprise since Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell are on the team but even in the last game, he took eight field goal attempts. Beverly has averaged 9.2 points throughout the season and he was only playing 25 minutes per night. That’s only going to go up now that the games matter and the positive ROI is a bonus for an expected win rate of 58% from OddsShopper. These two teams are in the top 10 in pace during the regular season as well, so this is a strong pick to add to the NBA parlay.

O.G. Anunoby Over 13.5 Points

The Philadelphia 76ers host the Toronto Raptors and this series is likely to be a slugfest but the line as appealing for O.G. Anunoby averaged 17.1 points per game on the season. The minutes are going to be there in spades since he already was averaging 36 during the regular season. Since he’s one of the better wing defenders on the team, Anunoby is likely going to push for 40 minutes in almost very game in this series. While Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet are the main players in the offense, Anunoby still had a 21% usage rate on the year and he shot 36.3% from a 3-point distance. The 76ers did defend the 3-point line well as they ranked inside the top 10 in field goal frequency and field goal percentage, but Toronto ran their starters more than any other team during the regular season. The volume between the minutes and field goal attempts are too high to pass on an expected win rate of 59%.

Klay Thompson Over 3.5 3-Pointers

The Golden State Warriors clash with the Denver Nuggets in the first round and one of the headlines coming into this game is the status of Stephen Curry. He is probable but he is also going to be facing some sort of minutes restriction since he’s coming back from a foot injury. That should open the door even further for Klay Thompson to launch plenty of 3-point attempts and this pick has the highest expected win rate of the parlay at 60%. In addition, these four picks would bring a return of +1077, according to the Awesemo Parlay Calculator and Thompson wound up shooting 38.5% from distance this season across 32 games. Thompson also played eight games down the stretch without Curry on the floor and he averaged 44.4% shooting 3-point shots. While he was putting up 12.4 attempts per game, it’s encouraging to see him get hot from beyond the 3-point line right before the playoffs start and that should carry over tonight against the Nuggets.
