The best week of the golf season begins this Thursday with The 2022 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club (par 72, 7,510 yards, bentgrass greens). This week, Awesemo launched its brand new Expert Golf Betting Tool. In addition to helping you find the best odds for each bet across all major betting sites using the OddsShopper, the Expert Golf Betting Tool gives you an expected win percentage and expected ROI for each wager, based on Awesemo’s expert projections that are bar none the best in the industry. Also, if playing DFS golf or betting on the Masters this week, you have to check out Awesemo’s PGA Weather Splits Tool, which takes the projected weather forecast and shows which players are expected to have an advantage based on their tee time. Below are some of the top betting picks for the Masters using Awesemo’s Expert Betting Tool.
Best 2022 Masters Golf Bets
Jordan Spieth (+2200, DraftKings Sportsbook)
During his tie for 35th at the Valero Texas Open last week, Spieth put on a show as a ball striker, gaining 6.2 strokes on approach and a tournament-high 10.9 strokes from tee to green. However, he uncharacteristically lost a career-worst 7.2 strokes with his putter. Before this, Spieth had positively generated strokes with his flat stick in 14 of his previous 20 starts. Plus, returning to the bentgrass greens at Augusta National certainly is a huge boost, as Spieth has dominated them throughout his career. Spieth’s top putting splits come on bentgrass, and he has never missed a cut in eight appearances at the Masters, with five top-10 finishes and a victory in 2015.
All signs are pointing towards a bounce-back performance for Spieth’s putter, and if he can maintain the stellar ball striking, he should be in the hunt for his second green jacket come Sunday afternoon. Spieth is a steal at +2200 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, which are easily the longest outright odds for him across all major betting sites according to Awesemo’s OddsShopper.

Xander Schauffele (+2400, FanDuel)
Disregard that Schauffele failed to come out of his pod at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and invest in him at Augusta. Before that untraditional tournament, Schauffele had finished third, 13th, 12th and missed the cut at his previous four standard stroke play events. This season, Schauffele has struck the ball well, ranking 16th in strokes gained tee to grain. Also, he has stayed out of trouble consistently, ranking seventh in bogey avoidance, which is an excellent sign with a trip to Augusta National on tap. Of the last five Masters champions, three ranked in the top five of the fewest bogeys recorded during their victories.
Schauffele has been extremely close to winning this tournament, carding a top-three finish at two of the past three Masters. He is a must-bet at this price.
Robert MacIntyre (+400 for lowest score from Group H, BetMGM)
Grouped with Cameron Young, Jason Kokrak, Kevin Kisner and Tom Hoge on BetMGM, MacIntyre needs to be backed this week based on major pedigree alone. In his Masters debut last season, MacIntyre racked up a tournament-best 21 birdies en route to a T12 finish. Including this performance, the Scottish pro’s major resume reads three top-15s and no missed cuts in seven starts in only a three-year span.
As for the rest of this group, Young and Hoge have never teed it up at Augusta National before. Young is 0-for-2 in terms of made cuts at the major level, while Hoge has never finished better than a tie for 43rd. Additionally, Kisner has failed to advance to the weekend at four of his past six majors, including the last two Masters. Finally, there is Kokrak. He proceeded through the cut at the last Masters but nearly finished in last place and missed the weekend in his debut at Augusta National the previous season. Overall, Kokrak possesses an unappealing 11-for-18 record in majors. Of these five players, MacIntyre has the best outright odds to win the Masters on BetMGM at +10000 but oddly is not the favorite to come out of this grouping. In the matchups section of Awesemo’s Expert Golf Betting Tool, he is rating as one of the best values of the week and is an easy choice for these odds.
