Suns vs. Nuggets Game Info

Phoenix Suns (58-23, 27-13 Away) vs. Denver Nuggets (51-30, 27-13 Home)
Date: Sunday, June 13, 2021
Start Time: 8 p.m. EST
Venue: Ball Arena — Denver, CO
Coverage: TNT

The Suns used yet another team-friendly offensive attack to notch a third double-digit win in Game 3. It was clear coming into this matchup that Phoenix had the deeper roster, even if they did not necessarily have the best player on the floor. Depth has clearly won out thus far. Devin Booker and Chris Paul shone brightest on Friday night. The former scored a team-high 28 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Meanwhile, Paul continued his quest for that elusive first NBA Championship with 27 points, eight assists and six boards. Phoenix’s backcourt tandem was joined in double figures by each of Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton.

In his first game at Ball Arena since being named the NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic showed out with a triple-double line. Unfortunately, he left on an island once again in terms of help from his teammates. Jokic’s 32 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists marked what has easily been his best game of the series to date. But other than Monte Morris (21 points), no other Denver player scored more than 15 points. The NBA betting market has shifted drastically on the heels of the Nuggets’ double-digit home loss in Game 3. After going off as roughly a two-point favorite in their return to Colorado, the Nuggets now find themselves as home underdogs ahead of today’s must-win Game 4.

Suns vs. Nuggets Prediction

Do the Nuggets have any fight left in them? It sure didn’t look like it in Game 3 on Friday. Even if Denver survives on Sunday, they’ll be up against it in a big way with Game 5 back in Phoenix. The Suns have proven their superior depth and well-rounded talent. Their top-five defense has suffocated the Nuggets in each of the first three games. After three consecutive double-digit wins, it would take a drastic shift for the Suns to not cover the short point spread once again.

Prediction: Suns -3 (PointsBet)
