The UFC will be heading to Austin, Texas, after a very fun but very tough betting card in UFC 275 last weekend. The UFC Fight Night 126 main event is essentially a title eliminator fight in the featherweight division between Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett. With the card being in Austin, this is the first or second time this year there will be crowds for back-to-back events. There are only a handful of close moneyline fights on this card and a ton of massive favorites, so if you are into betting parlays, there are a ton of parlay building blocks on this card, with 10 fights having the favorite -200 or wider. There are a couple of live underdogs to bet, and when there are massive favorites, generally prop betting is a good change of pace. This gives bettors multiple ways to bet when making their UFC Fight Night 126 Kattar vs. Emmett picks and predictions tonight.
Expert UFC Fight Night 126 Picks, Predictions & Best Bets
Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon Prediction
In what could be the final fight of both of these fighters’ careers, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will be making his return to the lightweight division to face Joe Lauzon. It is a bit of a surprise both of these fighters are still active, but it is nice when fighters in the twilight of their careers face each other instead of getting matched up with a young prospect. Cerrone is winless in his previous six UFC appearances, but the level of competition he faced was incredible. He lost three straight by TKO to Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje and Conor McGregor. This will be his 53rd professional fight, and his durability is certainly a big question mark at this point. When Cerrone is going well, he has excellent striking and especially striking in combinations involving kicks. He will use his underrated wrestling if he thinks he has an advantage on the mat, one that he may not have this weekend against Lauzon.
Lauzon is coming off a very surprising knockout victory over Steve Pearce in the first round. Lauzon probably would have retired if he lost to Pearce because before that he had lost three of his last four, including two first-round knockout losses to lesser fighters than Cerrone has faced. Both of these fighters have durability concerns and they both like getting after it. The under on 2.5 rounds was a good bet before the line moved almost to -190, and it is entirely possible this fight could end in the first round, so bet the fight to not start Round 3.

Court McGee vs. Jeremiah Wells Prediction
In a veteran versus prospect matchup at welterweight, the experienced Court McGee will take on newcomer Jeremiah Wells. McGee is 4-5 in his last nine UFC fights, and all of them have been by decision. He is extremely durable but he definitely has slowed down offensively, landing 57 and 34 significant strikes over his last two wins — very poor output. McGee has relied more on his wrestling recently, landing eight takedowns in his last two wins. Wells does have decent defensive wrestling and 100% takedown defense in the UFC on three attempts, so he should be able to keep the fight on the feet. It is hard to really expect more than one or two takedowns in this fight from McGee. Wells will be making his third UFC appearance this weekend, having one his previous two inside the distance against Blood Diamond and Warlley Alves. When the opening line on this fight came out, Wells was a -152 favorite. A lot of money came in on McGee and the line flipped, but Wells has the edge on the feet for sure. He packs serious power, and while he may not finish McGee, he will have to respect the power, which will limit the takedown opportunities. Getting Wells here at plus money has a ton of value.
UFC Fight Night 126 Best Bets: Wells +105 (Caesars)
