Welcome to the 2022 U.S. Open, the 122nd edition of the event, being played at The Country Club. With it being one of the four biggest weeks of the year, the variety of betting options is vast, providing a lot of different ways to invest in the tournament. Here we will cover the best matchups bets as identified by the Stokastic Expert Golf Betting Tool.

2022 U.S. Open Golf Picks & Betting Predictions

Berger (+135) vs. DeChambeau/Oosthuizen

Ben Rasa and Eric Lindquist break down the best U.S. Open 2022 golf betting picks and predictions. See who they’re building their card around this week.

The second-best expected win rate belongs to Daniel Berger (46%), who has a very favorable matchup against two out-of-form golfers. Bryson DeChambeau hasn’t been healthy in months and has not been a factor in an event in well over a year, and Louis Oosthuizen’s run of top form has also come to a screeching halt. Berger, on the other hand, has battled a few injuries but seems to be getting healthier, as witnessed in his last start at the Memorial. Look for Berger to continue his good form this week while the other two continue to struggle.

Henley (+150) vs. Garcia/Hadwin

Coming in with an expected win rate of 43% and an expected ROI at 7%, Russell Henley is one of the best value bets on the board in the Stokastic Expert Golf Betting Tool. Henley has played very solid golf this year, while Sergio Garcia hasn’t been a factor and Adam Hadwin has struggled in major championships.

Niemann (+450) vs. Morikawa/Spieth/Matsuyama/Horschel/Homa

The bet with the largest odds and highest expected win rate combined with a positive expected ROI, Joaquin Niemann has a favorable matchup in this tournament six-shooter against a struggling Collin Morikawa. Jordan Spieth and Hideki Matsuyama both have a few question marks given the recent news from the Spieth camp of his illness and Matsuyama’s nagging neck injury. Still, having to beat Billy Horschel and Max Homa might be the toughest test of the bunch, but Niemann has severely outperformed them in the last couple of major championships. His top-five odds aren’t much better than these either, and it’s possible none of the golfers in this matchup finish there.
