Week 16 Sunday NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts To Watch | Jalen Hurts + Aaron Rodgers

When it comes to NFL betting, there are often few better wagers to gamble on than NFL odds boosts. They are bets that are exactly what they sound like: Promotions from sportsbooks that move the odds in your favor on certain bets. Most of them are the specific prop bets that you might be searching for by yourself, and oftentimes the odds are fairly enticing. Rarely can you make a lot of money on these bets because of limits, but our job is to highlight the best NFL prop bets and NFL picks to wager on every weeks. We scour the internet trying to find the best Week 16 NFL odds boosts for you every day from every sportsbook. Today is an exciting late-season Sunday with a pair of interesting matchups in the late afternoon and night games that provide a chance to increase the total in that account.

The NFL has always been a league about quarterbacks, and that means NFL odds boosts will deal with the play of those signal-callers. When you have a young, talented quarterback garnering headlines, the money will surely follow on the odds boost market. That is the case with Jalen Hurts, who has rejuvenated the Eagles offense and become a popular target for odds boosts heading into a critical Week 16 matchup with Dallas. There are several odds boosts about what Hurts will be able to do against this Cowboys, and we’ll examine what to expect from him. Of course, the sportsbooks also love Aaron Rodgers, so there are plenty of bets out there on the Packers quarterback as Green Bay hosts Tennessee in a critical game for both teams’ playoff seeding.

Week 16 Sunday NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts

NFL Picks: Jalen Hurts 2.5+ Touchdowns & Eagles Win (+275 DraftKings)

Hurts has made an excellent impression in his first two starts for Philadelphia, but it’s been his legs more so than his arm that has propelled the Eagles. The rookie has rushed for 169 yards in the last two weeks and now faces a very favorable matchup with Dallas this week. The Cowboys rank last in the league against the run, but they have been particularly vulnerable against quarterback rushes. Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson both had some of their best rushing performances of the season against Dallas, and no quarterback has run for more yards the last two weeks than Hurts. He scored for the first time on the ground last week, and he’s bound to do it again or maybe twice against this Cowboys defense.

The accuracy is a concern for Hurts, but he did manage to throw three touchdown passes last week despite completing less than 55 percent of his passes. Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert were targeted 15 times combined last week, and the two tight ends are again major matchup problems for a Dallas defense that also needs to pay attention to Hurts in the backfield. Philadelphia has good enough receivers on the outside to challenge this Cowboys defense that is allowing the second-most points in the league. I think Hurts should be able to throw a touchdown pass or two and safely edge over the total on this bet.

NFL Picks: Aaron Rodgers Throws 3+ Touchdowns & Packers Win (+300 FanDuel)

Rodgers could not ask for a better opponent after last week’s offensive dysfunction than Tennessee, which ranks 28th against the pass. The Packers will have some balance on offense for sure, but the Titans provide an excellent opportunity for Green Bay’s passing game to get back on track. We’ve seen Baker Mayfield and Matthew Stafford rip apart this defense in the last three weeks, so imagine the damage Rodgers can do to this secondary. It will be fascinating to see how the Titans try to defend Davante Adams and Robert Tonyan, but all the attention on those two should open the door for the secondary receivers on the Packers to hit their peak entering the playoffs.

Last week’s single touchdown pass broke a four-game streak of at least three passing touchdowns, and this is a golden chance for Rodgers to resume that streak. Rodgers has just two games when he didn’t complete at least 65 percent of his passes, and he had completed 70 percent in six straight games until last week’s 69 percent. Rodgers’ accuracy and ability to protect the ball are a major reason he could easily take advantage of this suspect secondary and move the ball at ease against this Titans defense. In fact, I would even consider DraftKings’ odds boost of Ryan Tannehill and Rodgers combining for more than 4.5 touchdown passes at +195 odds.

Another Rodgers combination I would consider comes from PointsBet, which is setting +110 odds on Rodgers and Derrick Henry to combine for at least four touchdowns. Henry has been a nearly unstoppable force for the last half of the season with five 100-yard performances in the last six weeks, and we know Green Bay’s issues with defending strong running backs. There have only been two games in which Henry has rushed for 100 yards this year and not scored, and he’s only scored in two of the five games in which he didn’t eclipse 100 yards on the ground. Green Bay has faced the third-fewest rushing attempts this season and still only ranks 11th against the run.
