PGA DFS Golf Picks: WM Phoenix Open Round 4
Round 3 Recap
Sahith Theegala would start the day with a two-shot lead of some of the world’s best players, set for the biggest week of his young career. An early double bogey would get the juices flowing, as he gave up that lead just as quick as he had it. But, after that, he played his remaining holes at four under par and will again set the pace as we head into the final round. Every one of Patrick Cantlay, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele made a run on the day, each holding the lead by themselves at one point, but none could hold it. Scottie Scheffler took advantage of the top of the board not playing all that great and went out and shot a day’s low 62 to jolt himself into contention. Scottie gained over seven strokes on the field in the third round, with an incredibly impressive performance relative to his peers.
Garrick Higgo was the only other golfer other than Scottie to gain over five strokes against the field today, shooting a seven-under 64, as he looks for his first top 10 since his win at the Palmetto Championship. Other solid rounds were turned in by Keith Mitchell and Hideki Matsuayama.Â

Best PGA DFS Golf Picks Today for DraftKings Showdown
- Garrick Higgo ($6,700): His iron game flourished when he first went on a crazy run on the now DP World Tour. It looked like his best statistical category. But, as he joined the PGA Tour, that hasn’t been the case, relying more on his putter for results. This week though, the iron game seems to be back, and his off the tee work is following close behind. If his putter stays hot, like it did today, then he’ll be among the top scorers again for the final round.
- Alex Noren ($7,700): Contrary to Higgo, Noren has always been about the flat stick and how many putts he can make in a week. This week is no different, putting superbly on the incredibly fast greens. The rest of his game, well, that’s doing what it needs to cash in on a hot putter. If he can hit a few more drives and consequently a couple of more good iron shots, he could be a sneaky candidate to steal this tournament tomorrow.
- Patton Kizzire ($7,400): While the results may not show it, Kizzire’s form seems to be there. At least his ability to score. He can’t avoid the big numbers right now, or at least in his two previously made cuts this season, but continues to give himself chances. He’ll have another one at his first top 10 since the Charles Schwab Challenge last year.
- Brendon Todd ($6,900) A theme here for this final round, rostering all of the best putters that are still involved in the tournament. These greens are incredibly fast and pure. Todd is one of the best and also benefits from the firm fairways, creating quite a bit of extra roll.
