Yahoo Cup Fantasy Golf Picks This Week for the RBC Heritage 2022

Looking for a way to learn Fantasy Golf without jumping in with both feet? We have a perfect solution for you. Yahoo and Yahoo Fantasy are offering a $15,000 freeroll called the PGA “Yahoo Cup.” This contest awards a winner for weekly events and one winner at the end of the season who has the most cumulative points. It will go for 39 weeks, with the lowest nine weeks of scoring being dropped from your total score. Each week also features a $150-to-first contest, making every round matter just as much as the last. So let’s dig into the best Fantasy Golf picks this week and DFS Golf value plays for the 2022 RBC Heritage.

Course Preview: Harbour Town Golf Links

Harbour Town is a beautiful links-style course right on the Atlantic Ocean with a famous lighthouse prevailing over the 18th hole. While it’s no Augusta National, this par-71, 7,100-yard layout is a fun, unique course and a fun transition into the next phase of the PGA Tour’s calendar.

Top Three Fantasy Golf Picks This Week for the RBC Heritage 2022

Mito Pereira ($31)

With a lot of high-quality values below $30 this week, it’s good to start off with a higher-salary one to balance out the variability. Pereira comes in as the fourth-best value according to Awesemo’s PGA DFS Yahoo Projections and is on a nice run of form. He came in 27th and 13th in his last two starts and has only missed one cut in his previous four. He’s 13th in the field in greens in regulation, averaging over 70% this year, which will do well here given the field’s average of less than 64%.

Dylan Frittelli ($20)

Coming off of his first top 10 on the PGA Tour this year at the Valero Texas Open, Frittelli looks to continue his good form this week at the RBC Heritage. He’s made the cut in each of the last two trips to Hilton Head Island, which includes an eighth-place finish two years ago. Solid form and history here at the event are two big reasons to play Frittelli at the minimum salary this week.

Matthew NeSmith ($20)

It was just two starts ago at the Copperhead Course for the Valspar Championship where NeSmith gained a career-high 7.92 strokes on approach. It wasn’t good enough to catch Sam Burns and Davis Riley ($21), however, and he finished just one shot out of the playoff but showed how good he can be with his approach game. The irons took a week off at the Valero Texas Open and he missed the cut, which is not a surprise after a breakthrough like he had at the Valspar. Now heading to Harbour Town, a course that rewards strong iron play and accuracy off the tee like Copperhead does, NeSmith should easily see the weekend and thus presents solid value at the minimum salary this week.
