The weather flipped on Saturday, as 90 and sunny gave way for 60 and rainy in round three of the PGA Championship. It made conditions almost unbearably hard at times. Still, they didn’t phase Mito Pereira, who will look to become Chile’s first-ever major champion, as he withstood the elements the best in round three, shooting a one-under-par 69. He carries a three-shot lead into the final round, but given how quickly scores can change here at Southern Hills, the tournament is still wide open. This article will cover a few stats from the first three rounds and provide a few PGA DFS picks and predictions for the final round.
PGA DFS Golf Picks Today: PGA Championship Round 4
Round 3 Recap
Morning Wave
Will Zalatoris would enter the day at -9, but a bogey on the first hole, and three more on his next five holes, he would drop out of the lead quickly. But, a resilient back nine, where he would shoot one under and get within two of Mito’s lead heading into the final round. The round of the day, outside of Webb Simpson’s brilliant 65, was Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and Seamus Power’s three under 67. Each of them gained over two strokes putting on the day, while Fitzpatrick and Young each had their struggles in other categories. Power gained over .95 strokes in all four strokes gained categories. Only eight other scores came in at under-par for the day.
Xander Schauffele and Tommy Fleetwood were two of the names that shot an under-par round on day three, and, if all the stars align, these two likely have the best longshot odds to win tomorrow. If either of them shoots a tournament tying 63, as well as a tough day from Pereira, it could give them a glimmer of hope, starting the day nine shots back at even par.

Max Homa ($8,400)
Hanging tough all week, Homa’s got a chance to finally post his first-ever top 10 in a major. His first win on the PGA Tour came at the Genesis Invitational, where he came basically out of nowhere to win the event. While his odds may seem quite long to win, he presents solid value with not a ton of ownership flowing his way for the final round, given that Pereira is priced right next to him.

Tommy Fleetwood ($7,700)
Quietly, Tommy is putting together a solid season. He’s only missed one cut all season, the Honda Classic, his first PGA Tour start of the year, and has come inside the top-20, seven times. This week that form continues, as he’s gained strokes in all four categories, with an emphasis on his approach game. Starting the day four back of the top-5, his 16/1 betting odds for that market also seem appealing for the same reason his price and form do for PGA DFS.
Seamus Power ($7,200)
Two years ago, or just about, Power was ranked 505th in the world after having just missed the cut at the Utah Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour. But, he stuck with the game, never giving up, and used a medical exemption in 2021 to give him status. From there, his game flourished and capped it off with a win at the Barbasol Championship. He’s played solidly since then as well, with a handful of top-5s and a chance to win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am. Today, he jolted up the leaderboard with a three-under 67 performance, gaining strokes in all four categories. That should bode well for him as he, like Homa, searches for his first-ever top 10 in a Major.
Other Low Owned Targets for PGA DFS Round 4 of the PGA Championship
