Another major is in the books, but the PGA Tour continues to roll on with the 2022 Travelers Championship on deck. This is where One and Done starts to get more and more interesting, with fewer guys available towards the end of the season. Add in the wild card that is the LIV tour, and there start to be situations where there are only a few options left to choose from. Whether in the lead or trying to play catchup, there is a ton to breakdown for Travelers Championship One and Done picks this week.
PGA One and Done Picks: Travelers Championship 2022
U.S. Open 2022 One and Done Recap
Matthew Fitzpatrick
Matthew Fitzpatrick is in this article more weeks than not, and that’s where the problem arose last week. His ball striking has been fantastic all season, and he thrives in tough conditions. Unfortunately, he wasn’t available since he was chosen earlier this season. For anyone who went there, they hit the $3.15 million payday as Fitzpatrick broke through for his first career major.
Sungjae Im
Here’s another guy playing consistent quality golf, but with a wildly different result last week. Sungjae Im was thrown around as a possible winner, but a rough stretch over the first 36 holes found him outside the difficult-to-make cut line. Missing the cut at the U.S. Open happens to the best players in the world routinely, but it’s a missed opportunity to rack up the dollars in One and Done.
Patrick Cantlay
This was this article’s selection last week in the hope Patrick Cantlay could turn around his lackluster performances in majors. He was able to find the weekend and ultimately landed in 14th, which was good for nearly a $250,000 payday. That’s not the worst result, but given the top names on the first page of the leaderboard, it wasn’t the desired result.

Travelers Championship 2022 PGA One and Done Picks
Patrick Cantlay
This is a nice spot for anyone who still has Cantlay remaining. Besides the 14th last week, he has shown his top-end form with a runner-up at Heritage and a third-place finish just two weeks ago at The Memorial. Cantlay gains strokes in all four categories and really has no glaring issues to his game. Coming to a course he’s seen plenty and racked up four straight years of top-15s, this is a good place to deploy Cantlay.
Keegan Bradley
Will there be a letdown after an emotional hometown run for Keegan Bradley last week? That’s a tough question to answer, but one thing for sure is that the game is in good shape. Bradley is a pure ball-striker who struggles to make enough putts to keep him among the elite on tour. There is no doubting the form, with a seventh-place finish last week at the U.S. Open and five straight cuts, including three inside the top 10. The other benefit is that most still have him available in One and Done pools.
Denny McCarthy
People may look to join in on this magical run Denny McCarthy is currently on. It makes sense, as McCarthy is the world’s best putter and coming off two straight monster finishes, with a fifth at Memorial and a seventh last week at the U.S. Open. The ball striking isn’t the strength of his game, but given his short game abilities, simply posting average approach numbers will keep him in the hunt. It’s almost certain he is available, so this is an aggressive name to help quickly jump up the leaderboard.
Travelers Championship 2022 One and Done Pick: Keegan Bradley
There are not many of the top names available, and Bradley is playing fantastic golf. Everyone knows his ball-striking abilities, and it’s just the putter that seemingly comes and goes at random. Bradley plays here every year on tour, so knowing this course is something he has in his corner. He was runner-up here in 2019 and has been positive on the approach 9 of the last 10 years at this event. Expect more pure ball striking, and with a little luck on the greens, Bradley could have another top-end finish in this spot.
