DraftKings & FanDuel EPL DFS Picks Today

**All Odds from BetMGM**

West Ham United (-225) vs. Norwich City (+575), O/U 2.5

Captain

Jarrod Bowen (DraftKings: $18,300, FanDuel $14)

Manuel Lanzini (DraftKings: $14,700, FanDuel $9)

West Ham United is above average in the EPL with 1.54 expected goals per match. They have a plus matchup against a Norwich side that allows 2.08 expected goals per match on the road, bottom two in the EPL. West Ham is coming off four consecutive matches of two-plus goals, while Norwich has allowed at least two goals in three consecutive EPL defeats. West Ham is a massive favorite at -225, with the total of over 2.5 total goals sitting at -145. The popular stack will be 5-1 or 4-2 in favor of West Ham, which is hard to fade considering Norwich is without a key member in Billy Gilmour.

Jarrod Bowen leads the salary list on DraftKings and handles the indirect set shares. He accounts for 28% of his club’s overall goal contribution. His floor is massive, with an average of 2.47 shots per match and a team-leading 37% on-target accuracy. Bowen averages 4.8 crosses per match and creates 3.55 scoring chances. He is a top option on DraftKings and on FanDuel in all formats. For GPPs on FanDuel, he is a pivot off the popular Michail Antonio, who draws attention with similar output of chances created and shot volume and adds the goal appeal. With a similar price and no increase in Captain salary, Bowen makes a case for a few more shares.

Manuel Lanzini is an interesting option on DraftKings for salary relief. Antonio has a similar price to Bowen, while Lanzini allows for both attackers in the Flex and another DFS output outlet from West Ham. Lanzini comes with a concern of how long he stays on the pitch, but comes off when the team has a comfortable lead and should account for the damage done to Norwich, which is shorthanded and in poor form. Lanzini creates 3.33 scoring chances created and handles penalties while taking some sets opposite the pitch from Bowen without the presence of Aaron Cresswell.

Other Options: Pablo Fornals (DraftKings: $12,600, FanDuel: $13)

Flex

Michail Antonio (DraftKings: $11,200, FanDuel: $15)

Michail Antonio does not handle PK sets as mentioned above. He still leads the club in goal scoring and creates 3.64 scoring chances per match. He sits atop West Ham’s shot volume list with 2.93 per match and hits target at a 31.5% accuracy clip. He is a play in the flex for the scoring upside in a plus match up. The concern is his volatility where he could tank your lineup should he fail to score. For this reason he is a flex play with the floor of Bowen or the salary relief of Lanzini to round off the captain spot.

Declan Rice (DraftKings: $5,800, FanDuel: $8)

Declan Rice has been more offensively involved for the hammer this season. He provides much needed salary relief if targeting the top options above and averages 1.84 scoring chances created. With less than a shot per match and a lack of accuracy he still will need help hitting the salary bump from a few matches ago. Rice builds a floor with a team leading 5.05 won tackles and interceptions per match. He does foul an above average rate for his club but can counter it with drawn fouls. The risk of fouling and possible card showing makes Rice a GPP play. His salary his lower than that of Tomas Soucek who leads the team sheet in fouls committed.

Przemyslaw Placheta (DraftKings: $4,800, FanDuel: $6)

Norwich has a number of members expected to miss this duel with Gilmour, Matias Norman and Milot Rashica. They have handled the indirect sets on the year. Next man up is Przemyslaw Placheta. He looks to improve on his average of 5.76 crosses per match which are split via indirect sets and open play. Placheta creates 2.70 scoring chances per match on a club that cannot seem to find the back of the net. He does well to not contribute defensively, which brings a silver lining of no fouls committed. The price with increased role makes him a high value play in all formats and fill the one-off need for stacking. A pivot off him for a similar salary is Kenny McLean who takes a more direct approach to the net with shot volume. West Ham are struggling to keep clean sheets so it would not be surprising to see them concede despite coming away with a convincing victory.

The balance of Norwich’s side can be filtered with Teemu Pukki who leads the club in scoring but runs the risk of Norwich being shut out. He is not as safe an option as the ones above because of his scoring dependency. He handles the PK and would be an option in any lineups where you look to leverage against lineups that feature Lukasz Fabianski, the West Ham netminder. Max Aarons can contribute pushing up the wing and gives the biggest salary discount. He does well to contribute on both ends of the pitch with an uptick to his average 2.77 won tackles and interceptions should Norwich find themselves playing defense all match long.

Other Options: Vladimir Coufal (DraftKings: $7,000, FanDuel: $7), Teemu Pukki (DraftKings: $6,000, FanDuel: $12), Max Aarons (DraftKings: $4,400, FanDuel: $6)
