NBA DFS: Stokastic’s Pros Win DraftKings & FanDuel GPPs For Combined $155,000

It was a monster Saturday night in the NBA DFS streets for Adam Scherer, also known as ShipMyMoney, and Stokastic co-founder Eddie Lai. Scherer was able to claim first and second place in DraftKings’ flagship tournament on his way to over $125,000 in winnings, while Lai finished first in the big FanDuel GPP en route to $30,000.

Let’s take a closer look at the winning nights for Scherer on DraftKings and Lai on FanDuel.

Winning DraftKings NBA DFS Lineup & Strategy

Scherer, who writes free NBA DFS content five days a week and appears frequently on Stokastic’s live shows and videos, was able to outlast the rest of the pack for a massive payday on the small four-game slate.

In his first-place lineup, cheapies Kris Dunn, Simone Fontecchio and Saddiq Bey allowed Scherer to pay up for the likes of Anthony Davis and Trae Young, who combined for 117.25 fantasy points between them. The Jazz were short-handed, opening up some necessary value with only four games on the schedule.

Cleveland’s Jarrett Allen and New Orleans’ Jordan Hawkins were difference-makers for Scherer too, posting 53.5 DK points and 39.5 DK points respectively at relatively low ownership.

Here’s a look at the second-place lineup:

Young, Allen, Hawkins and Paul George were all in the second-place lineup as well, but the surrounding pieces were different.

Omer Yurtseven was the Jazz value of choice and finished with 20.75 fantasy points at a bargain basement cost, while Max Christie and DeAndre Hunter were both solid at their respective price points too.

A fine showing from Brandon Ingram, who finished with 26 points, eight assists and six rebounds for 47.5 fantasy points, rounded out the $25,000 runner-up squad.

Congrats to Scherer on the huge night!

Winning FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup & Strategy

While Scherer dominated the DraftKings lobby, it was Stokastic co-founder Eddie Lai who took home the spoils over on FanDuel. He finished first for a cool $30,000, beating out over 23,000 other entries.

Lai already has countless GPP wins to his name and added even more to his impressive resume on Saturday, thanks to huge performances from Davis (62.1 FD points), Allen (55.3) and Young (52.2). AD’s dominant showing was particularly important at a relatively low 11.9% ownership at power forward.

Like on DraftKings, Utah value was prevalent in the FanDuel winning lineup as well, with the cheap salaries of Yurtseven (23.4 FD points) and Dunn (18.6) opening up room for the studs.

A job well done to Lai on yet another DFS tournament victory!
