NBA DFS Advice for Friday, December 1 | Lineup Generator
The Lineup Generator process kicks off by selecting three inputs.
First, we pick our desired DFS slate between DraftKings Main and FanDuel Main, and then choose our ownership setting, selecting between all lineups, chalky lineups, balanced lineups or contrarian lineups.
Lastly, we have the option to lock in a player based on optimal percentage, NBA DFS projection or boom probability. We can also skip this step if we want.
For our first Friday NBA Lineup Generator run, we chose DraftKings Main, All lineups and we did not lock in a player.
Once on the tool, we can save our favorite lineups, swap out players as we see fit, and check out a dashboard showing our player exposures and lineups in more detail.
Below you can see our top exposures among our first 20 saved lineups for Friday:
We’ve already had some huge news drop early in the day, as Luka Doncic has been ruled out for the Mavericks. Obviously, that’s going to open up a huge amount of offensive production (and DFS value) for the Friday night slate.
With so much usage up for grabs, it’s no surprise to see so many Mavs atop our player exposures from our initial Lineup Generator run. Kyrie Irving is showing in 70% of our saved teams at $9,100 and has the slate’s highest boom probability at right around 80%.
Teammates Jaden Hardy ($3,300), Seth Curry ($3,000), Josh Green ($3,900) and Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,500) are all in at least 40% of our lineups, while Derrick Jones Jr. ($4,000) and Dereck Lively II ($4,900) are at 30% and 25% respectively.
Of this group, Hardy is standing out at 65% ownership for our lineups, and he owns a strong 49.1% optimal lineup rate as of now. That’s the second-best percentage on the slate behind Irving.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what ownership percentages end up looking like on a lot of these Dallas players. For the time being, Irving is projected for 45.7% ownership on DraftKings yet has an optimal lineup rate of 57.2% based on Stokastic’s simulations. It’s still early on Friday, so there’s a good chance we’ll get even more slate-relevant news that could shake things up further, but Irving and these Mavs cheapies will be staples for many regardless.
More expensive options that stand out in our Lineup Generator exposures include Julius Randle ($8,800) at 30% ownership across the 20 saved lineups and Jayson Tatum ($10,100) and Scottie Barnes ($8,600) each in a fifth of the teams we saved.
Nikola Jokic, who currently has the second-highest boom probability on the slate behind only Irving, is in 15% of our 20 teams at $12,400 and is carrying a 13.1% optimal rate on DraftKings for now. Joel Embiid ($11,600) is at 10% ownership in our Lineup Generator run and has an 11.7% optimal rate.
It’s important to note the above NBA Lineup Generator exposures are based on the settings we chose and that the lineups generated will differ depending on your preferences.
We recommend you go through all of Friday night’s NBA DFS boom/bust probability values at each position as you tinker with your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. At time of writing, it’s Kyrie Irving (80%), Nikola Jokic (57%) and Joel Embiid (50%) who currently have the three highest boom probabilities for the Friday daily fantasy basketball slate on DraftKings.
