Sleeper NBA Picks & Predictions
DeMar DeRozan H/L 6.5 Assists
Before diving into the stats, I want to let you know we’re getting good value here, with most books listing this prop at 5.5 while others have the juice on the under. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 5.3 assists on 10.5 potential assists this season, and he’s had some big assist games lately, recording 10, 3, 10, 11 in his last four games without Zach LaVine. However, his 72% assist conversion rate in those games is not sustainable over time.
Tonight’s matchup against Denver is tough, with the Bulls being 7-point home underdogs. Both teams rank in the bottom five in pace, while Denver is 13th in defensive rating. Denver ranks 8th in opponent assists and 12th in opponent FG% this season. DeRozan is averaging just 4.2 assists at home and had 6 assists in his previous matchup with Denver.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: DeMar DeRozan Less Than 6.5 Assists
Coby White H/L 4.5 Assists
Coby White has taken full advantage of the opportunity with Zach LaVine out for the Bulls. With a 2% increased in both usage and assist percentage we’ve seen White average 5.6 assists on 12.4 potential assists over his last five games. He’s also leading the team with 67 passes per game in that span. Unlike DeRozan, White’s conversion rate is sustainable at this current volume with him playing 38-40 minutes a game.
All books favor the over on this prop and it will likely get bumped to 5.0 soon while our Pick’Em Pro tool has White projected for 5.0 assists.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: Coby White More Than 4.5 Assists
Ivica Zubac H/L 12.5 Points
Heading over to the Clippers-Kings game, Ivica Zubac gets a favorable matchup in the points department tonight. Sacramento ranks 21st in opponent points in the paint and has allowed 56 PIP over their last five games.
Zubac has benefited since the James Harden trade and recent lineup shifts that Coach Lue has made. He leads the team with 13.2 points in the paint over the last 10 games while playing 28.5 minutes per game. Stokastic’s Pick’Em Pro tool has Zubac projected for 12.8 points tonight, and given the matchup and the pace-up spot against the Kings, I think he’s going over.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: Ivica Zubac More Than 12.5 points
