NFL Week 5 Player Props: Deshaun Watson 40+ Rushing Yards at +280

Prices as of Tuesday, October 6, 2026, about 3 p.m. ET. Kalshi prices include the taker fee. Player props are trading for only part of the Week 5 slate so far; the games without markets are near the bottom with the Sims' numbers.

The best Week 5 prop on Kalshi isn't a receiver's yardage or a touchdown. It's a quarterback running, and it's in a Sunday game between the Browns and the Jets.

I put every listed Week 5 player prop next to 10,000 Stokastic Sims of each game and kept the ones where the Sims and the price disagree the most: two overs from that Browns game and two passing unders.

Watson Runs For 40

What has to happen

• Watson clears 40 rushing yards in 31.2% of the Sims, more often than the 26.3¢ price implies; 30+ hits in 49.2% at 44.7¢ (+124).
• The Sims see a run-first day: he finishes under 175 passing yards in 41.4% of them, while NO on 175+ costs 35.6¢ (+181).
• Cleveland (3-1) plays at the Jets (1-3) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

How to bet it

My read

The legs carry more of Watson's Sunday than his arm does, and the prices have that backward.

Fannin Clears 50

Harold Fannin Jr. 50+ receiving yards · 33.5¢ (+199) on Kalshi · The Sims have it at 38.5% (+160).

What has to happen

• The same Watson day that keeps the passing yards down still has to find the tight end.
• Fannin gets to 40 receiving yards in 52.8% of the Sims, and YES on 40+ costs 47.7¢ (+110).
• Every line from 40 to 70 yards on Fannin is priced under the Sims; 60+ hits in 26.6% at 23.2¢ (+331).

My read

Fannin's whole ladder sits under the Sims, so the line you pick is about how much risk you want.

Dak Under 275

NO on Dak Prescott 275+ passing yards · 56.7¢ (-131) on Kalshi · The Sims have him short of 275 in 61.9% (-162).

What has to happen

• Dallas (2-2) wins 74.9% of the Sims against Tampa Bay (0-4), so most of these games don't need Prescott's arm late.
• He throws fewer than two TD passes in 40.1% of the Sims; NO on 2+ costs 35.6¢ (+181).
• Thursday night, 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.

How to bet it

My read

A comfortable Dallas win is the likeliest Thursday, and those don't end with 275.

Cousins Under 225

NO on Kirk Cousins 225+ passing yards · 52.7¢ (-111) on Kalshi · The Sims have him short of 225 in 57.7% (-136).

What has to happen

• Cousins reaches 225 in 42.3% of the Sims, and YES costs 55.7¢ (-126).
• He stays under 250 in 73.0% of them; NO on 250+ costs 67.6¢ (-209).
• Las Vegas (3-1) visits New England (2-2) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

How to bet it

My read

Las Vegas at New England doesn't need Cousins to throw for 225, and the Sims have him short of it most Sundays.

My Take

Buy YES on Deshaun Watson 40+ rushing yards at 26.3¢ (+280). A 26.3¢ price needs 26.3%; the Sims have it at 31.2%, the most room on the Week 5 prop board with the taker fee already paid.

Second, NO on Dak Prescott 275+ passing yards at 56.7¢ (-131), the Thursday night play.

• YES on Harold Fannin Jr. 50+ receiving yards at 33.5¢ (+199).
• NO on Kirk Cousins 225+ passing yards at 52.7¢ (-111).
• One more under: NO on Braelon Allen 80+ rushing yards at 64.6¢ (-182), short in 70.7% of the Sims.

These games have no Kalshi props yet. The median is the middle Sim, and half the Sims land inside the range, so a line well under the median is the over to watch when markets open.
