FanDuel MLB DFS Cheat Sheet: Aug. 24 Picks And Stacks

Today's free FanDuel MLB DFS cheat sheet from Stokastic is a Daylen Lile sheet. The Washington outfielder sits fourth in value at 4.28 and second in top-150 exposure at 55.3%, and he leads the leverage panel at 43.1% without ever cracking the ownership top five. On Aug. 24 the Sims and the field agree on nearly everything else, so I'll settle the pitcher slot first, then turn the one real disagreement into the build.

The Quick Answer

Make Byron Buxton a core piece: he is the board's top value (4.55) and top exposure (56.7%), worth it even at 32.3% chalk. Take Zack Wheeler over Chase Burns at pitcher, and get to Daylen Lile before the field does. Minnesota against the Athletics (21.3%) and Washington against Colorado (20.7%) are the stacks. Today's Board For Aug. 24

The projections panel is a 0.10-point photo finish (Burns 36.01, Wheeler 35.91), and on a site that rosters one pitcher that slot swings more of the build than any bat. The exposure panel breaks the tie: the Sims put Wheeler in 41.3% of their top-150 lineups and print him third in leverage at 19.3%, while Burns, at 19.3% owned, never makes the leverage panel at all. Two arms separated by a tenth of a projected point; only one the Sims keep buying.

Stacks On A Four-Batter Cap

FanDuel caps you at four batters from one team, and this is a two-stack sheet: Minnesota's 21.3% and Washington's 20.7% sit well clear of the field. Buxton and Luke Keaschall (4.31 value, 36.7% exposure) are the Twins' spine, and the Athletics' 11.3% run-back makes Minnesota-Athletics the slate's centerpiece; the correlation logic explains why both sides of one game print. The cap leaves four hitter slots after your primary stack, and with the third-best stack printing just 11.3%, the Sims would rather spend those slots on one-off leverage bats than force a second stack (the FanDuel vs. DraftKings breakdown covers how the two sites' roster rules change that call). Mine today: Junior Caminero (30.0% exposure, 18.9% leverage; Tampa Bay's 7.3% stack rate says play him solo) and Abimelec Ortiz (18.2% leverage).

Worked Example: Lile's Row Into The Washington Build

Lile's row becomes my Aug. 24 entry:

1. Start him in every tournament build. Value is projected points per $1K of salary, so Lile's 4.28 means his tag barely dents the cap while buying into the board's second stack against Colorado pitching. Back out the arithmetic (55.3% exposure minus 43.1% leverage) and the field lands near 12% on a bat the Sims use in over half their best lineups.
2. Extend to Washington's four-stack against Colorado, the 20.7% second line of the stack panel.
3. Anchor with Wheeler, the arm the exposure panel already settled.
4. Fill from the leverage column (Caminero and Ortiz), with the full MLB DFS projections, ownership and stacks in the DataHub sorting the order.
