Davante Adams is my Captain for Giants at Rams, the Week 2 Monday night game on September 21 at 8:15 p.m. ET, and this DraftKings NFL Showdown cheat sheet makes the case. He is the most-used Captain in the Stokastic Sims at 20.7% and the only Captain in the top 5 for leverage plays, so the top Captain is also under-owned.
The Quick Answer
Captain Adams at $13,200, play both quarterbacks under him and go underweight on Malik Nabers in the FLEX. Puka Nacua is questionable and the Sims had him at zero Monday morning. Every number here assumes he sits; if he is active, the Adams case obviously weakens.

On Flex Exposures, the row I keep coming back to is the one missing Nabers. The Giants receiver is fourth in ownership at 41.9% and absent from the top five flex exposures, where the last spot is 38.7%: the field has more Nabers than the Sims do. Mevis, the Rams kicker, holds that spot in top-150 exposure and leads the leverage panel. Neither quarterback is over-owned: Dart's ownership matches his exposure and Stafford's trails his.
Why The Sims Land On Adams
Dart out-projects Adams 18.8 to 17.1, and trails him at Captain 17.3% to 20.7%. Stokastic Sims play Giants at Rams tens of thousands of times, and exposure counts who landed in the 150 highest-ROI lineups. With Nacua at zero, Adams is the top-projected non-quarterback on the board, and every catch is a Stafford completion, so his ceiling lifts a second roster spot. Our ownership projections supply the field's side: 5.60% leverage in the FLEX, 6.40% at Captain.
Worked Example: Adams To $49,400
- Adams at Captain, $13,200. Stafford costs $15,000, Dart $14,700, Williams $14,400.
- Stafford ($10,000), Dart ($9,800) and Williams ($9,600) in the FLEX. Running total: $42,600.
- Mevis ($5,000) and Terrance Ferguson ($1,800). Final: $49,400.
Ferguson, fourth on the value panel at 3.60, gets the last spot: 6.5 projected points to the $200 Smith's 5.3. The sticker gap to a Stafford Captain is $1,800, but he is in the FLEX anyway: flip them and the same six cost $50,000, $600 more.
